Does anyone have any stories relating to Butlers quarry at Maltby in South Yorkshire ? The quarry is now owned by Tarmac and I was wondering if anyone worked from there in the 70s.Any pics would be gratefully received too.

Some to please Bonkey, as I know he is often hiding and watching the various sites
A couple of local tippers there, Taylors of Wirksworth with the 5 1/2 wheel Volvo (useless on sites, the firm I worked for took over their garage when they called it a day) plus the following Clydesdale, and one of the Late Alf Horrobins Volvo’s from Curzon Lodge, Longcliffe.
Pete.

I have yet to put on trucks from in and around Buxton, but don’t want Bonkey to get too excited.

PS Is there a site on trucknet for Derbyshire tippers, cannot go through all the pages on this site. When I have tried to use the ‘Search’, doesn’t always work as I would wish

Plenty on the Peak District thread Barry, including loads of Tossmac liveried ones! Did a few loads out of Holme Hall myself if I was in the area and desperate, filled the day in anyway.
