you are a funny little man. The difference is that I know that Robroy is more than capable of putting his money where his mouth is, he’s not just full of wind and ■■■■ and is happy to let someone else fight his fights. You however….

The problem lies in fitting Trumps ego inside the Oval Office. He was meeting another head of state: his equal.

When I was in the Royal Navy the job I did meant that I had top security clearance. During that time (the 70’s) there was a classification “UK eyes only”. I’d like to think that there is still a lot of stuff that we don’t share with our friends (sic) across the pond.
The time for us to get seriously worried will be if it’s ever reported that more than one of our Trident submarines is on “active patrol”. If we go to that stage I hope to god that we don’t let the yanks know as I wouldn’t be sure that they could keep that information secret.

A lot depends on how the Russian is transltaed into English to discover what is being said, and we would be foolish to take what the Kremlin says as any sort of truthful or accurate statement.
Hopefully US will soon state that the Russian statement is all tosh, and any alignment is purely a coincidence.

Russia said they were doing it. (although using silly words)
We all know.
So why the refusal to say it out loud?
Because the Trump “peace solution” would be shown for the hollow surrender it is.
There are a growing number of “well quoted” American commentators suggesting that Russia has something on Trump. Ordinarily I would put this down to pure party politics or embittered persons but his demeanour towards Putin and Russia in general is so far from the norm that I don’t think that this can be discounted. Nothing salacious (given what we know about him this doesn’t seem to be something that the average yank gives a flying ■■■■ about), but some kind of dodgy property/business deal.
Occams razor and all that.
I agree it’s doubtful they have anything on him, to blackmail him. Maybe they did once, but he is now above that.
I doubt they have ever given him direct instructions or anything like that.
But I do think they are clever people who understand him, and are playing him. Using his own greed and ego to gently give suggestions, and nudge him along.
They are not guiding a dressage horse along precisely, but they are making a mule go along in the general direction they want.
It does certainly come across that way that they are playing him. But I’m not so sure, time will tell.
An interesting scenario, if Europe backs Ukraine and goes to war against Russia, who will Trump back? I reckon he’ll be behind Russia, that gives him greater opportunities to make profits and and increase his power.
Russia has played him, his voracious appetite for power and money has made it easy for Russia. Does Trump owe the Russians or Chinese money?

Well it may give those who are particularly bitter towards him to accuse him of these states, a sense of satisfaction and ease of frustration, but in reality…thick and stupid?..(and easily duped and led ? )

Seriously though…I often used to park up for night by the air museum around the back of the Nissan offices.
I used to regularly go in that pub there for a good meal (name escapes me…something ‘Horses’? )
Anyhoo… it was an avid Sunderland fc pub.
I always made sure the Toon shirt on my truck passenger seat was removed, and a sweatshirt over my works polo with the Newcastle badge sewn on it…(I can be quite mad sometimes…but I aint stupid. )
In actual fact I got to know a couple of the lads in there and we played pool often,.and did the quiz as a team…but I NEVER mentioned football.
Fraternizing with the enemy…I saw myself as a football type secret agent …(no I didnt really I’m talking bolocks
