Brexit stuff in one place [MERGED]

I started in Euro work in the late 80’s with the occasional TIR job but mostly T2s and Avis De Passage, and limited use Permits, etc.
We went from lots of papers and using TIR park clearances to T2s with customer site clearances, to CMRs written in biro, and much easier Cabotage rules and permits far freer to use.

Brexit has re-introduced layers of extra paperwork, extra clerical expense, extra Customs checks , all costing time and money!

YES!
Brexit causes all the above!

No Brexit was the reason for the increase in this case granted.
The EU is the cause, the instigator and the reason for it.
Hope that clarifies

No.
That is truly perverse.

All countries have rules and regulations and paperwork concerning import and export etc.
The EU and other free trade zones do away with such.

Brexit and leaving the EU is a return to normal.

Leave the “pesky foreigners are punishing us” narrative at the doorstep.

Yeah?
Well what the hell.
I’m a ‘truly perverse’ type of guy.
(And a one who can no longer be arsed to argue with YOU about bloody Brexit.)
But at least you got the return to normal bit right.

I guess I didn’t make my point in the way I intended to: since Brexit the situation has become a complex nightmare of Kafkaesque proportions. You only have to glance through the 2020 version of the EOS notes in comparison to the 2024 version to see what I mean. The bureaucracy has increased ten-fold

Being out of Europe has made processes harder

And we will NOT be applying to re-join, and the EU would not entertain it even if we wanted it: They would keep us on the outside as a punishment.

Ten words that sum up the EU more succinctly than 5000 pages we’ve so far endured.

Fripp was still there, but i think KC is officially over now

Another Brexit Benefit…
…for the Europeans…again…

:grinning:

One of your Lib Dem heroes is doing a bit of Brexit back peddaling lately I see.:joy:
Just cant trust politicians can ya?:joy:

I see the title says that Farage is scoring points, because looking at the actual content we would not have come to that conclusion ourselves.

Translation:
The EU are not happy about giving Zuckerburg unrestricted free access to the data of their citizens.
Clegg is thinking that is a bad thing, because his poor boss is not able to afford a crust.
“The new wave of technologies” could be a good thing for us all. Or could be a good thing for a few individuals and companies.
Infor one do not want to see a wild-west of unregulated access to bad actors.

If poor old Zuckerburg has to wait a little longer then I will cry no tears.

No surprise at all that Farage is siding with rich foreigners;
Again

Ahh right that explains everything.
It had me going there it did.

Thank you for your latest pearls off wisdom.

No surprise at all that Farage is siding with rich foreigners
With House of Commons security passes applied for no doubt.

Well, his RefUK were told off for selling trips around the HoC at £300.
He said, sorry, it wasn’t me guv, just party members trying to raise funds.

Find me a link that states security passes are required for guided tours of the HoC.

Nope. No security passes required for a trip.

I never said Farage’s party were flogging security passes. I did say they were flogging off trips for 300 quid in breach of HoC rules.

You know full well the connection I was making regarding the PM and his rich friend. Absolutely no comparison to a guided tour and access to the inner workings of government.

Mr Franglais is very selective in what he interprets from other posters to fit his narrative.

So Farage gets the ‘Wrath of Franglais’ for (rightly or wrongly) making a bit of cash…as they all do.
Yet the highet echelons of the Labour govt have been accepting money hand over fist, with numerous unethical perks for weeks now,.all with their snouts in the proverbial trough…and not a thing said about it by him…true to form.

Hmm who’d have thought it eh?
Answer …EVERYBODY on here! :joy:

No connection at all to charging the public for access to MPs and the HoC?

Yeah, OK.
