Bob Crow dead.

Not old at 52. He will be a great loss to his union and the trade union movement.

Shouldn’t think there will be many tears shed by the commuters of London.

FTFY

Well at least there will now be one extra council house available in London for a deserving low income family, over 110k salary a year and living in social housing hypocrite

The mans not cold, yet the usual w@nkers on here start to have a pop. Hang your head in shame gentlemen, show some respect.

Mmmm just like he did for Thatcher I’m no fan of hers but in his case you reap what you sow

Mr Crow scared me a bit - but his place in maintaining a reasonable status quo within today’s often imbalanced employment scene (let’s not call it a market, please: The EU was once called that) remains totally essential.

Bless our respectful memory of him and may he rest in peace, despite my failing to fully understand how Bob reconciled advocating free immigration from Europe whilst our own, UK grown unemployed remain seemingly uninspired - and arguably disenfranchised to do largely what UK society seems content to let migrants do for a minimum wage :exclamation:

Regardless of his personal situation he did a good job for the drivers on the underground, don’t you wish there was someone like him to stand up for drivers?

It just shows that when they open the big book and your name is on the page then that’s your lot.

My thoughts are with his family despite my personal feelings.

I simply stated how I would feel as a commuter. He was a man that showed little respect for anyone.

Perhaps you would set an example then and not refer to users of this forum in a derogatory manner.

He did more for the commuters of London than any MP or Mayor has ever done.

Well said,

The Man was a true trade unionist, and not like so many off the present union leadership, just using their membership as a stepping stone to a political career.

RIP Bob.

Wether you agree or disagree with the mans politics or methods, the man has JUST died. All I’m saying is let his family grieve.

If all unions had leader like him, I think we all would be in better paid jobs.

When I was a Union member I would have loved Bob to have represented me,negotiated top wages for his members, job security, good pensions, sorted health & safety on the underground, what’s not to like ?
He was also a hater of degrading zero hours contracts/agencies.He’ll do for me.
RIP Bob.

We’ll said

His uncompromising scowl & dictatorial speeches are gonna be sorely missed. :unamused:

When former Prime Minister, Margaret Thatcher died in 2013, he said: ‘I won’t shed one single tear over her death.
'She destroyed the NHS and destroyed industry in this country and as far as I’m concerned she can rot in hell.

Love him or hate him, probably the most effective union leader of recent times, he stood up for his members in an age when exploitation by employers is rife.

How much would the employees of the London Underground be earning were it not for him, I wish we in transport had someone like him. R.I.P

Good riddance to a hypocrite. He lived a life of luxury yet claimed to be a man of the people like all union leaders do.

I f*cking hate socialism.

Bob Crow did a fantastic job for his members .The position he held was a 24/7 commitment which probably did not benefit his health. Whatever your political standpoint the man, imo, deserved every penny he earned and never forgot his roots .

She did too, while she was closing all the heavy industry down the Germans were building theirs up which extends even until today, so who was right? Not Thatcher …

RIP Bob
