Need 4 tyre’s for my car and seen these on tv,when looking on there website they seem cheaper than local firms anyone no what they are like.

They are ok also check mytyres.co.uk/start.html

Try a local part worn garage too.

I just got 4 Pirellis with 6mm for £20 each.

Black circles are great, used them for motorcycle tyres loads…

Use them with confidence… :sunglasses:

I have used blackcircles before and couldnt fault them
If you buy second hand tyres make sure there is no cut s on the sidewalls as usually they have been replaced for some reason

What he said!Used to get part worns on van, often tyres were ‘site damaged’ before worn out so thought it was a ‘cheaper’ alternative, till I had two blow out, seperate occassions on motorway, depends how much you value your life!Use budget’s now,no probs.

Buying 4 for a nissan qashqai, got continental on now doing about 11000 miles per year would budget tyres be ok.

wouldnt touch part worn with a barge pole, no point in scrimping over tyres, there what holds you on the road, thats how i see it

try fleabay, i got 2 brand new “michelin pilot sport 3” tyres for £210, cost you about £330 minimum at a tyre shop

Call a few garages and shop around a bit, there was a £120 difference in some quotes for the 4 branded tyres i was looking for.

Give these a try aswell, Ive used them twice and had no problems. I totally agree with part-worn tyres, i wouldnt go near them.

but if you buy on blackcircles all they do is direct you to a local {to you } garage to get them fitted, just get the price and the fitting centre they are going to use then go there, qoute the blackcircle price and they will nearly always give you a better deal if you go direct to them and cut blackcircles out

Me too and a good selection unlike many places who tell you that Michelops are better than Pirontis etc and sell what they have rather than what you want

What sort of price are you looking at?

Tyretraders have H Rated 16’’ Wranglers in for £87. I would never scrimp on tyres by using seconds or spurious makes

Why would you bother using old tyres, you have no idea of the history of those tyres. 6mm is pretty low anyway so you’re not going to get a lot of mileage out of them. As for paying £20 each, they must’ve seen you coming. In my opinion this is false economy and dangerous not only to yourself but to other road users/pedestrians.

Tiger.

If you drive in an "enthusiastic "manner then you need good tyres with known provenance. I would not want second hand tyres or remoulds, dont know where they have been.

i always use a local tyre & exhaust centre the bloke does a deal everytime 4x Kuhmo tyres for a Honda CRV 4x4 £280 cant fault him

Does this mean if you bought a used car you’d fit new tyres before driving it? As for 6mm being low, what’s the depth on a new tyre, about 8mm I thought.

if it had budget tyres on it, then yeah i would. but if it had budget tyres on it i prob wouldnt buy it, scrimp on tyres and scrimp on everythin else probably…part worns i wouldnt touch

I needed 4 tyres on my mondeo about this time last year, went into MR Clutch and they quoted me for the bog standard cheepies £250 all in, I went to Kwik fit as I have a discount card with them to see if any cheaper, he quoted me £434 for 4 Continentals and £360 for 4 cheepies!! :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

I said thanks mate and started to walk out, he called and said hold on, have you got a better quote? I said yes £250 at Mr Clucth, he tapped some buttons on his computer, pulled a funny face and then said yeah we will do the cheepies for that! :open_mouth:

He didn’t even check that the quote from Mr Clutch was genuine! Saved £110 for driving less than a mile! :sunglasses: :sunglasses:
