Can anyone explain to me what this “break down” thing is?
it’s where there are mixed goods on the same pallet and the bone idle lazy goods in staff wont seprate the diffrent items themselves to check them off. i used too do it but in the end i used too just tell that i wasnt allowed too.
Apart from wakefield, I haven’t got a problem doing morrisons. I must be lucky as I’ve always had good tips at all of them. Id do ten morrisons rather than one tesco

That sounds abit odd, as you say that sounds like a warehouse mans job, are haulage companies ok with drivers doing this? I’ve only done a handful of supermarket tips.
triple-tango:
I’ve been banned off site at Morrisons Gadbrook. Superb news, I never have to return to that [zb] hole again!
I know how you feel, some RDC’S and alike are horrible places to be But now you’re boss has a problem, if the only loaded trailer in the yard is loaded for Morrisons Gadbrook and you’re the only available driver looks like you’re out of a days pay and the deliverys going to be made late Not an ideal situation to be in Just saying like

They did tip me, they had to really as I was already on the loading bay when they banned me. Boss wasnt over pleased as he had to “smooth the waters”.
Note to self; dont argue with a scouse jobsworth…
Trukkertone:

some companies are, the last firm i was with that did rdc work wouldnt let us do that (not that i wanted too anyway) because 1 lad claimed too have hurt his back and claimed off the firm
My old boss always refused to allow us to break palletts down. Just dit there and wait and bill them demurrage. Never had a problem. Probably changed a bit since the nineties though…
All I will say is that when I drove for Sainsbury’s at Hams Hall absolutely no one was alliwedinside the warehouse without food health and hygeine training (an eight hour course).Dunno about nowadays but in 2002-08 whilst I was there they said it was a legal requirement.
Get on flat trailers, bye bye RDC zb holes

I always respond to someone in the same manner as Im spoken to, so the gobby little scouse [zb] didnt know what hit him when he mouthed off at me

I don’t understand how it takes so long to count product either. I’ve been waiting 3+ hours before now for paperwork at Wilko Magor
