Apparently, if you can get up to 88mph, this activates your flux capacitor, and you arrive at your pre-programmed rdc in a flash of blue sparks 6.3 seconds before you even set off…only works with American Express tho.

Sorry to make this serious… I tried it just to prove a point that it wouldn’t work… And here it isI need to check my balance, will report back if my overdraft has vanished
…
I turned the picture and a load of money came out of the computer.
Shockingly I tried this and not only does it work but you can also use your tacho as a cashpoint, great for an emergency tenner.
Also if you use your Nectar card it will convert the mileage to points - I now have 2 million Nectar points and can purchase a packet of wetwipes, I will try and insert a wetwipe later to see if it clears my breaks.

. Thanks but no thanks… That money has come out of my bank account… Please push it back into the computer.
i find the microwave which is next to the tacho works well, once i plug the tacho into the microwave i can have a 9hr break in just 100 seconds
Soooooooooooooo funny
Green shield stamps = I still have some
And whoever said 75p a gallon flippin heck young drivers hey !
My first pint was 52p and my first gallon of petrol was 52p a gallon, it would be nice if you could still get a gallon of beer for the same price as a gallon of petrol = and kids think petrol is expensive nowadays.
In 1976 our 1st colour tv was £29 I threw it away about 5 years ago.
When I got married it cost £38 I’ve tried to through her away time and time again, she just keeps coming back something to do with Australian ancestry.
All these “true” stories about fraudulent use of your tacho’s you should all be ashamed of yourselves.
Fantastic post == ssssssoooooooooooooooooooo funny
I can just vaguely recall Stella Artois at 28p a pint, and petrol roughly around 35 -40p per gallon. I can also remember when this was all trees…

Wow that was around 1968, 1d for a beer well, well
Put my wifes Morrisons card into the tacho slot and it turned my sleeper cab into a day cab straightaway…honest .

75 - assuming the true uk decimal day as 15.2.71. Soz if i`m being thick (has been known), but not understanding the significance of the 1d bit??

At 28p a pint that was before my time and therefore assumed pre beer tax day and therefore assumed at that price you’d have been paying in old money.
I also assumed you were in the UK, however I have just looked on the AA’s website and petrol in the UK was 72p a gallon in 1975 out of interest which country were you living in ?
It’s all true. There’s a sub menu. Pull your card out whilst driving when out of hours and a message pops up asking 'insert credit/debit card and continue with DVSA payment?" you put it in, press enter. Every 15 mins the tacho warning bleeps. You look up and it tells you £60 has been taken. Pretty handy to get home. I heard there’s another function that debits money per turn of leg handles but I think that’s just rubbish
Think ive dug a hole here! My fuzzy memory is telling me that i got a small amount of change from a "new", smaller pound note in exchange for 3 pints. I
m pretty sure I recall filling my Puch 3 gear moped up for around 50p, some time before the arabs caused our pump prices to hit the outrageous 50p a gallon mark. It might even have been 74. I was just around 16-17 (56 in a couple of weeks) and living in Hildenborough, Kent. I know that it was a time when fuel was increasing at an alarming rate and regularity, but in mitigation, it
s now way past my bedtime and im up at half five, so i
m gonna quit for now before i confuse myself further!
Just found this, which explains my thinking a little.

(Also remember my apprentice mechanic wages top line being £10, and take-home £9.50 after stoppages!)
I stuck a poppadom in my analogue tacho and the hours just crumbled away…

I tried my Library card…I got booked!
bollox, its possible to clone a digi card and use that but why would you the tacho head would still show the infringemens, i believe the bulgarians have software that can memory flash a tacho head and digi card with matching data to keep both the wagon and digi clean, the same guys that released the bmw/merc keycoders that can start any car and code a key in 20 secs, we live in a digital age my friends, but cost upwards of £1800 for it, tryed to find it via google but to no avail

Any ale house in Bootle on a Friday afternoon should get you the info/equipment you need

1d is one old penny, there were 12 to the shilling and 12 shillings to the pound.
Half a crown was 2 shillings and sixpence, a crown was 5 shillings.
Related phrases:
Stop on a sixpence, i.e. very quickly (small coin)
Thrupenny bit it, not take a corner smoothly, i.e. series of short straights, normally used by bikers. (multi-sided coin)
