The £681 is the rent she is getting for free, and the council tax is paid for her by the DWP then free dental care and check ups, free prescriptions that could be worth £100’s per week or more depending on the kid’s health problems, free school uniforms, and free school meals, energy bills reduced or free, free broadband and a tablet or lap top computer for job search criteria of the required 35 hours per week or get sanctioned.
Grants of up to £30,000 to adapt the house to fit a new bathroom, wet room and bedroom if needed, a free boiler up to £10,000, the list of additional benefits has 30 that can be claimed.
JeffA:
You told me on one occasion you knew of “millions” of cases. You saw all these from behind the curtain in your bedroom?
Can’t you see the only “evidence” you’ve provided is anecdotal?
Still choosing to ignore the fact I saw it daily for 5 years I see! If you could explain how that equates to “saw it once, anecdotal evidence or from behind my bedroom curtains” then I’m all ears.
I suspect your resentment stems from the realisation that you were outsmarted and made to look stupid by millions of workshy neanderthals who have never or ever will work a day in their lives and knew how to play the system.
As maoster said, the kids that have been diagnosed with something, the parent is classed as a carer and receives additional payments on top of their other benefits they are receiving:
For example if six kids do have something wrong with them, then as the expression goes: Do the maths to see how someone can be receiving more money than someone who is working full time by knocking out kids like a factory.

Well the only ones you can count there are the rent and the council tax - that’s her rent and council tax and £169 to keep 5 kids and herself for a week. Does that sound like a lot of money to you?
What if she doesn’t need dental care or prescriptions - and a prescription only costs what - is it a tenner? All the other stuff is just theoretical. One things certain it’s nowhere near £850 a week.
Free broadband and computer for jobsearch? You had to go and sit at the jobcenter for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week when I claimed - that was part of the punishment.
Tell me this - do you think getting two-thirds of your salary like you would in France be more money than you get on the dole in the UK?

Isn’t that benefits that you have to be seriously disabled to apply for? I thought we were talking about dole scroungers not people who are paralysed and brain damaged. And incidentally - APPLYING for these benefits isn’t the same as GETTING them. Remember all those thousands of people who were thrown off the dole and then dropped dead the week after from stage 4 cancer.
You have more chance of walking to the moon in your barefeet as getting £30,000 grants from the dole after losing your job. In fact walking to the moon would be EASY in comparison.
There’s a pot of funding money of 24 million of which only 2 million has been spent that the work coaches are told to keep quiet about.
The money is for claimants to be used to pay for training and PPE , the work coaches do offer a lap top or tablet to take home and use it at home and they do offer the broadband for use at home not at the job centre.
If nobody ask for the funding they won’t get it, it can pay for getting training for new trades and professions.

I asked 20 years ago if I could get funding for doing my HGV training - they said “No chance”. It’s got worse since then.
When I claimed you had to go and sit in a room at the dole office for 8 hours a day - sitting there was the whole point of the exercise - to waste your time for 40 hours. There was only 1 computer between 10 people - they just passed one job newspaper around for 8 hours. If you left the room you were sanctioned and didn’t get any money at all for a month or 6 weeks.
About ten years ago the job centre sent about 15 of us to an outside provider to sit in a room all day with a private contractor who was like a teacher telling us how to apply for jobs, and what to say at interviews and so on, as you said we had to share one newspaper with the jobs in it.
He would be on everyone’s case pushing us to apply for jobs, any slackers were threatened to be reported to their work coaches at the job centre.
I see JeffA is still choosing to ignore the posts from people with real life examples as evidence, instead he just keeps banging on about France and burying his head in the sand about what goes on in this country.

And this surprises you? Not so much Citizen Smith, but much more WH Smith methinks.
The point i was making about someone claiming benefits with multiple amounts of children and be on more than someone who is working is calculated if the lady in my example had a full time job , she would had to pay out for everything.
So far we’ve established you need to be a young woman renting somewhere with 5 kids all under age and preferably disabled - then you’ll get £169 a week cash and be able to stay in your flat. Big difference to £850 in your pocket every week.

Eh? I’m the only one who has provided any real world examples. All you’ve done is claim you’ve seen and heard of “millions” of cases from watching people walk past your window.

Still got the blinkers on then and pretending you haven’t read the previous 4 pages because you’ve backed yourself into a corner and been proven wrong.
Much easier to keep repeating the childish “window” comment than read my personal experience as previously mentioned on said 4 pages. I get it, I’d be bitter too if I’d been outsmarted the way you were by all those generation Jeremy Kyle scroungers.

.
No you ain’t,. I’ve provided 2 that you seem to have this mental block in believing for some only known to yourself reason…is it a socialist Labour thing?
We should all live in Jeffworld where there are no scroungers in the country, everyone is above board, and everybody on the dole is providing for their families on the famous 85 quid.
Yep,.that’s it,.I’m sold, and my own personal experience was all a dream.
Getting a bit boring now in fact, time to knock it on the head from me.

I think even that’s being generous.
Why do you have to name call all the time? We’re only talking about benefits on a messageboard, why get so snotty? We just have different views - that’s what makes the world go round. No need to hate everyone who disagrees with you.
