PROPER lorry driver- nine bales high! Could have put the bottom layer on edge, though.
ROF your right there not many went nine high, when I was doing that job my mate always faced the cut edge of the bale forward if he was stacking as he said it looked better going down the road, we always put the bottom and top layers on edge this also helped stop the ropes from cutting the strings, Buzzer.
PS. You had to be careful going round corners with that lot over the cab on 750 x 16’s tyres.

Sorry Danne I think it was probably an Italian trailer not sure where it is. Took this yesterday morning not many on here remember using all those electric hook ups in the old Axminster day’s ,not on these boats though they were a little older then.
Which way were you going Cliff ? ,we are back to Sedella on 19th , seeing the Jean-Luc Landais trailer I guess coming back to UK.

No Cliff, I found it on Internet whilst seeing if I could find a picture of the Roadtrain I drove for Exel Logistics, found that for you instead!
Here’s a place we used to stop many years ago it doesn’t look quite the same without a load of black and red lorries outside.
Didn’t think the Black and Red lorries ever stopped Cliff.

That’s right Robert,
Not like travelling on the motorways in England, bit more relaxed. We’ve all passed this way a few times.

You may have been preparing your insides for a bit of boeuf washed down with a carafe or two of vino collapso at Relais Castets as you passed that sign IIRC, Cliff! Robert
Bit early in the day for that stop Robert did do a bit of shopping in Irun though still good place for booze.
