It is with great sadness that I inform you all of the death of Tony Broomfield ex Central Road Transport driver,he was a great friend to myself and many more drivers out there. Our thoughts are with his family. R.I.P Broomer.

Just to let people know Tony Broomfield funeral is Tuesday 15th 2pm March at East Coker church. Tony was one of our great characters and will be sadly missed .

Well what a day saw Tony off in style, with all or nearly all his old work mates from Central Road Transport days, what a great turn out from those
drivers.
It seems to be never ending this bad news of loosing old friends, Tuesday I attended Tony s funeral , Today I hear Archie Paice has died. 2 real gentlemen and real lorry drivers with diesel in their blood.R.I.P. Tony and Archie.
Morning Cliff, like you say seems all bad news but we must look on the good times that we all had together when running and socialising with these great guys and many others, Something that the industry lacks these days from what I read and see , it was great to of been there and enjoyed the camaraderie great days cheers Dennis
Nice to hear from you Dennis, we were lucky to have had the good times we did but it is still depressing getting all the bad news.Anyway had a good chat with all the Central drivers and suggested a get together at West Bay one weekend and they were all up for it if there are any Axminster drivers interested please let me know that should put a smile back on our faces.

I think that might have been before my time Dean, although I did try to go under Taunton railway bridge with a load of straw ,came out the other side with half a load.
