yes mate Dakins was a subsidiary of TDG but when their warehouses and offices burnt down in Nottingham the Dakins name was never used again Stirlands was formed in the early 1920s it was independant until nationilisation after it was denationalised Jack Stirland went into partnership with Rex Marshall of Bulwell to form M and S Transport which ran into the late 50s then they parted company and again Jack went onto his until he sold out to TDG in 1964 he stopped on as MD until the late 70s
