0Just a picture of a newly restored in Yorkshire by all accounts its a special one a golden Defender?
It’s actually a Gold Knight, and is chassis number FC20000. It was ceremonially presented to Mr Hanson as a chassis cab when new.
It will all have been contrived, of course, as Hanson were a major Atkinson customer. Similarly, chassis number FC10000 went to Sutton’s another of the biggest customers for Atkinson.
Yes it,s a MK1 all told there,s six Atki,s in this collection owned by the same person all waiting to be restored back to there former glory,Sorry i cannot put any photo,s on here (at the owners request) only the one i put on this morning, which is going for it,s MOT next week.

Hi,All
That is a cracking restoration of Hanson’s Atkinson.
I remember when you couldn’t go far without meeting a Hanson’s tipper, it was usually flat out, you tried not to get in their way on the A18 and Woodhead cos some of them didn’t care where they passed you as long as they got in front!
