Hullo Kieth mate,
No I don’t think so, although he will know them because we were all on Greece at the same time. Charlie was from Bicester, had a White Transcon with A/C on the top, then an ex Cave Wood F10, painted Black and Maroon. Yes Nick is still down in Italy, piston broke, living in his truck and off to some bird’s at the weekend for a shower and shag. He thinks more about his position in the Hells Angels than anything else, strange world we live in eh ? Give my regards to Brian and Emmarosa please, she always was a good worker, even when she worked for Mamma at the Garonne. You can give me a job if you like, I’ ll be back in the UK 2nd, April. Good to hear from you mate.
Cheers, Archie.

5000 Drachmas its a Greek I reckon, the orange stripe represents its licened for international work plus the load of old tat bolted on it.

I’m with you lot, that’s a bubble’s motor, the orange stripe and the 2 series visor give it away, they used to put the bits off all the stolen 142s the eyeties took over there on anything they could

Well Rita again no acknowledgement from you despite me asking about your welfare several weeks ago Dow freight did indeed operate several Transcons and their colors were black and orange with guess what an orange stripe down their trailers as did their other co Balkan Transport however i don t remember any Greeks with Fords but as they mainly drove at night as obviously we did as with afew exceptions notably Wheelnut and Fly sheet no one of any consequence remembers us A more realistic answer is that its one of that well known East Kent haulier Deutrans whose initials DDR stood for Dover Dartford and Rochester. As far as I k;ow your filmstar namesakes were Rita Hayworth and Susan Hayworth so why youre not Roger Susan Haywood is amystery I ve broken bread with you several wish I could forget as quick on yer bike pal Crow

Sorry that should have been Susan Hayward Crow

Who was the owner of the black Transconti I saw about 2000-2001 at Augsburg Autohof? It had Renault type roof extension, 3 axles, tow bar, tanks and other middle-east equipment. Trailer was also black if I remember right.

Hullo Geoff,
When did Kieth Raynor die ? I haven’t heard of him for years now. I know that he was living either in West Yorkshire or over the hill somewhere near to Oldham or perhaps Bury. I remember that he was also a big Man.U fan. I did maybe half a dozen Greek loads for him when he started up at Mythomroyd as Impex. I first met him when he was on Sca, for Ronnie Hall.
Cheers, Archie.

Sheeplady never put you down as a shepherdess you should remember us you dealt mainly with my wife Susan sadly no longer with us. We brought lakes of wine from Pavlikeny and Suhendol aswell as fields of hops from near Celje. I remember your legendary parties, do you still live at Kirby Malzeard , best regards the Crow ps what about the Patrick White drivers Kylie et al

Archie Keith died circa mid 90s I also remember Impex, TIF came later mainly to Spain, perhaps you knew Johnny Howard Manchester John to his mates a Howard Leighton sound alike some guys thought they were brothers but not true .Before he set up on his own John worked for Gem Transport/Ronnie Scott wsa the gaffer doing internals in Saudi with his fleet of 2 stroke Fodens 12 speed air change gearbox a real mans truck yeah yeah regards Crow

Im years behind here ,but ive just bought The long haul pioneers book ,i haven`t opened it yet but is it an accurate account of how the job was?

Crow
