That’s a very fair question Steve, but only ROG can answer it.
I can add to that answer… quite a few other people are wondering exactly the same thing, but it’s ROG’s choice.

This is very general, since site rules prevent me from discussing the specifics, which are private between the Team and ROG.
members who breach the rules slightly or whose posts take up a disproportionate amount of the Moderators/Admin team’s time may have their forum permisssions set so any posts they make has to be approved by a Moderator/Admin before it is seen publicaly. This may be done for a short time (e.g. Overnight to allow a situation to cool down,) or for a longer period. The pre-moderation may be set for a single forum or board wide depending on the individual case. It may take a while for pre-moderated posts to appear depending on wether any of the moderating team are on-line and their workload
Not wishing to appear condescending, but I’d suggest that you read the forum rules and sanction system available at the top of each forum, because your questions are easily answered by quoting from it as above. It’s just that it seems that you (and ROG ) might not have read it.

I wouldn’t say that your loyalty is misguided at all Steve, in fact, I’d say quite publicly that ROG is great at answering the many questions that Newbies post in the Newbies forum. I’d also suggest straight away that before anybody comes to a staunchly supportive stance on ROG that they look at all his posts in all the other forums in order to come to an informed opinion.
The reason I suggest this is that folks tend to stick to one or two forums, but ROG went almost anywhere there was any posting space and posted stuff on topics that he admitted in the posts he knew nothing about, or admitted that was assuming or guessing. When challenged and proved wrong, he ignored questions about it or tried to tell folks he was only kidding. This often took topics miles off-course and caused OPs to wonder what the hell was going on, or whether they’d actually had the correct answer to their question. This sometimes took the Team a lot of work to sort out, especially in topics in the Safety, Law and WTD forum. I’m not speaking out of turn here, because everything I’ve mentioned is already in the forums quite publicly for all to see.
Again Steve, I’d politely and respectfully suggest that you do some research.

My point is not about what ROG posts, he has got things wrong and I agree that taking that wrong advice could cost someone a fortune I am not arguing about that at all.My problem is that a pathetic thread was started to open all the doors to the lets kick ROG in the balls club and I dont think that is fair there are better ways to tell someone they are wrong than slagging them off at the earliest opportunity I do not know what has gone on in the past and do not wish to get into the right and wrong doings of someone. All I will say is if ROG has not heeded to warnings he has recieved about his posts then the appropriate action should be taken which it has.
Gogzy could of easily dealt with this in a private manor like an adult instead of gossiping like girls in a school play ground.

Dino situation is completely different the bloke got a knock back and spent ages moaning about it, everyone knows that knock backs are part of this job especially when you are a newbie. He wasn’t good enough so should of just accepted it instead of writing pages and pages moaning and whining. Also he got all the sympathy and other advice from people on here but just threw it back in there face and started ranting about how hard done by he was.
Dino could of just wrote about his experience and said at the end of the day he didn’t come up to the mark, came back over here and found him self a job and got some experience and give it a go again. Now I think he has blown any chance he may have if the opportunity comes around again.
I have made my point and about this post and cant be botherd to carry on arguing about it, If I don’t like something I will say something about it you lot may think I am wrong and yes I often go about things the wrong way some of the things I said to Gogzy were out of order and for that I apologise but I stand by what I was saying about the reason this post was started.

The word “Rog” needs to be added to the auto censor for a couple of months. I thought this particular thread was over, but someone managed to start another one. Mike C locked one thread from Rog. Another was close to being locked, but who is the instigator of this one?
Dinostuveus, you seem to be naive as to how a forum works, you seem to be naive as to how the real world works. A driver with little experience will do better to listen and learn, rather than preach. Roger did help many inexperienced drivers, no one disputes that. What he did do was a rather dangerous thing by giving the same inexperienced drivers some quite believable information which was wrong, now if a new driver is taught wrongly from the start, there is little hope of expecting this to be corrected 5 years down the line. It is far too late, the seeds of weeds have been sown.
I am certainly not one of your nasty people on these forums. I think I have had the feedback to ascertain that fact. I don’t do it to get my post count up, that just happened because TNUK is an interesting forum and medium for anyone interested in road haulage. Rob K asked your age on another thread. To get back on post. (Sort of).Why did the moderators, who are normally so quick to hack into posts, and correct , or otherwise censor what the poster has submitted. Not spot this travesty. Posted on Page 5 by the well pseudonymed ■■■■■?? We are constantly told that swear words, risque jokes , etc are censored , due to the possibility that people of a tender age, or disposition might be upset by what they read/see?? I fall into none of those categories; But there may well be members of this TNUK " Community" who do ,and who may have a child who is the ■■■■ of the sort of humour ,that ■■■■■ thinks is acceptable.
Is it not well past the time when this load of crap, which has deteriorated into nothing more than a slanging match, was consigned to the TNUK Dustbin of History.

I was replying to a comment made by another person, alot of the advise you argued over I have nothing to get over it was your problem not mine.
Your opinion of me means nothing to me mate, I read your diary and your comments to others posts made by people and it was my opinion that you should of stopped moaning and got on with it over here like every other person that gets a knock back. I could understand you being a bit ■■■■■■ off and I know it hurts when you want something so bad. At the end of the day mate I have no problem with you I did think you was having abit of a tantrum but you like me are entiltled to express your feelings and opinions.
