anyone remember these tamworth firms

Hello to you all,

I lived in Hopwas during the late 1970’s, and IIRC there was a local man there who ran a couple of Kenworths on international traction, which he used to park in the village when he was home. I never did find out who he was, even asking in all the houses along the road. IIRC one was a red and white 6x4 flat top, the other a silver/blue Aerodyne. Anybody local know who he was, as I still would love to know!!

ive seen the ec erf pullin trailers at the test stn etc but not this one

were the kenworths run by hans kirimar (not sure on the spelling ) also did douglas concrete have or only run out of the old quarry at hopwas

Hi Mike, That picture of the C series was taken well over 10 years ago, it was eventually sold to Great Bear at Preston Brook as a yard shunter. Have still got the ERF EC which mainly takes trailers for MOT, the picture below was taken today. Regards Andy T1

Hi Mike, still got alot of photo’s to sort out, not come across many of the Roadtrains or the B series yet, i seen to be missing pictures from that time, will keep looking, here are the ones so far.

Progress so far on the factory build Atki mk1 twin steer tractor unit been restored by Blakeman Motor Services of Tamworth. Also reg number and makers plate for Bewick.

Another recovery job for Wm Rowe & Sons after the driver pulled over to let a car passed down a narrow lane near Fradley

andy have you got any pics from dave williams old fleet
i was taliking to him in a cafe in burntwood on thursday hes a lovely bloke
hes virtually retired now just doing odd casual driving for ricketts
he had a nice fleet always well painted up.
