Another bad smash on M25 north side

Three days on the trot a bad smash around the top side of the 25 a couple fatal.
Any ideas to much traffic poor road layout poor driving or a bit of everything.

Its got nothing to do with the amount of traffic or road layout or weather or any other excuse its down to the poor standard of driving Not always the fault of the driver that’s involved though…

How long will it be before trucks are banned from lane 2 through road works, the way some muppets go through them flat out in lane 2 they are an accident waiting to happen, it’s was no different when they was doing the M62!

Prob a foreign driver

Driver arrested

3 road workers were injured in that crash today! Too many accidents happening everyday on both sides of M25 lately in these roadworks and that applies to the Clackett lane side of M25 too, only solution is to reduce speed limit to 30/40 through them and yes ban trucks from lane 2!! Yes it’s always the other drivers fault, but if everything moves through without a problem what’s another few minutes on the journey!!

Controversial but its about time we where banned from lane 2 in roadworks. Theres always some numpty going for it at 53mph in reduced lane width circumstances up some poor cars arse then not having the talent to overtake another truck without straying into the third lane.

Course sods law is we all end up in convoy behind some chugger cruising along at 40 minding their own business, but for me its about the journey not the destination, if it doesn’t get delivered today theres always tomorrow and a minute or two extra through the roadworks will make little difference.

I like to tramp on but have to agree mate. 40 mph , trucks to nearside lane only and old bill to spend a month nicking tail gaters.

Think in the long run it would be quicker.

I used to enjoy wide loads, straddle two lanes, sit back and relax at a nice steady 50, well until I came across anything slower but the beacons tended to give them the hurry up even if they where orange.

Even in those instances where there’s a width limit on lane 2 in roadworks you often get some hero in a Scania topline tailgating the cars in there at 56. I agree it’s probably about time we were kept out of lane 2 in roadworks, but when we are it won’t mean anything unless it’s enforced.

I live in essex, my mum lives in hampshire.
Ive been going down to see my mum about once a month, going through the southern section of the m25.
As many of you are aware, there are restricted width lanes in operation.

Every, and I mean every single time i’m in the 50mph zone doing 50mph I have an artic up my arse.

Sorry to say chaps, but lorry drivers are some of the worst on the road.

went through the south side road works at 50mph last night but the Europa express motor that went past me must have thought he was on a race track ,
flashing cars out the way and under taking when he got the chance ,
it’s knobs like that who are giving truck drivers a bad name .

Undertaking ? this means the clown in the middle lane should have been in the left hand lane ?

I got on the M1 this morning and the signs said 60 mph and congestion use the hard shoulder. I got on and hit the limiter on the hardshoulder. 5 miles I did undertaking all the traffic in the outside three lanes no surely they are lane hogging ?

The unfunny thing about some of these muppets driving like nobs in lane 2, are probably the same drivers that struggle to get an artic onto a loading bay!!

Often is your curtains to the mirrors spotlighted adorned mob also usualy the ones who are give me 40 acres and il turn it around types

It’s because car drivers think they have to stay in the same lane all the way through the road works no matter what speed the are doing this brings me back to my post about all drivers been made to sit a test before been allowed on a motor way and this includes truck drivers because how some drivers even passed there test beggers believe

2. then not having the talent to overtake another truck without straying into the third lane :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

Item 1… I have to agree, there are too many drivers using bullying tactics, stuck to the bumper of the car in front, even though the said car driver has nowhere else to go.

but for item 2… I will always take a bit of lane three, when overtaking a slower lorry, reason being that these lanes are tight and you never know ( as has happened to me before a couple of times ) when or if the driver suddenly drifts into lane 2 for whatever reason, whilst you are currently going past them. I’d rather delay the cars behind for a couple of minutes, whilst I’m overtaking, rather than send one of them to oblivion because I’ve had to swerve into their lane, wiping them out, as the lorry in lane 1 has drifted into my lane.

And as for the controversial comment about lorry overtaking bans in major roadworks,
Totally agree with the ban !!! They’ve had these in place in roadworks across parts of Europe for ages.

Agree totally…

i think it needs looking into as the road aint level weight transfer and boooosh ur over seems strange a couple in the last few days, take it steady out there and be safe

What time did it happen,I wondered if I was lucky that I went to Felixstowe first or lucky that I left Edmonton went up through cockfosters and joined a empty m25.
