Ameys--anyone there?

I did wonder whether that pic came from Fleabay, like I’d said, I’d had the pic emailed to me by a mate who searches for BL car pics-I suppose that’s how he found a Leyland Bison photo. I admit to moving pics from one thread to another, accepting that others may do the same with mine (doesn’t bother me). Some of the pics on here I’ve found by looking through Bubblemans’ thread, but always putting one back on his in return.

Thanks for the info Bonkey mate,
I had hoped that this hadn’t happened, but figgered that someone had probably got hold of it as was selling it e-bay. Cheeky buggers,I’ll try and find him and give him a tune up. What I also need to do now is have ‘copyright’ writen through my photos,I remember Bubbs having the same problem a while back too.

It’s a shame because I’d like to put photos up,but not if some cheeky sod is going to proffit from them.

Cheers Jamie

Anyone know why I can’t see the pics in the previous two messages?
Shame as I love ARC tippers nearly as much as Tarmac ones! :frowning:

try logging off and logging back on bonkey , the advice thread at the top of the page recommends this , cheers , dave

Pictured at Great Dorset Steam Fair last year. There was a time when these colours were everywhere, certainly living in Oxfordshire you couldn’t get away from them!

They’re still about…in blue and white/white and…white! Got something like Idleberg written on them too. I liked the Hanson blue with white tipper but all white just blends in with Lafarge and Ag-Industries. My son paints his nappies in Amey colours though

Hi Muckaway,
Yeah I love the white/white, it’s so original, there’s only 10,000 companies painting their wagons like that nowadays, so they really stand out! Typical modern day management thought up livery mate, boring & un-imaginative!
Regards

Heres a few.

Cheers Bubbs,

Was that Scammell pic taken in Reading? I noticed JB in the reg, old Berkshire number and I’d guess from the hideous buildings in Reading they were built in the era of that lorry.

I thought it said Beedon but wasn’t sure so I took a guess from the JB, and the fact so many old houses in the background were being knocked down, it reminded me of the Milestones Museum in Basingstoke where they’ve reconstructed how the town used to look like before the war and before prefabs invaded. It’s also got a good Thorneycroft exhibition…

Now you mention it, I vaguely recall hearing someone say that a while ago and didn’t take much notice; The Sweeney was before my time

Yep, when I was born, Smiths were just putting new Bisons on the road

OK, thats enough now, isn’t it past your bed time! On the subject of Smiths Muckaway, do you know/remember a mate of mine who was on there for a few years called Gary Edwards?
