Sandfisher mate, Is your yard patrolled by armed Special forces with alsatians or something??
Heres a bizarre idea…Tell the office crew to get tf off their arses and open the gates to let you in the yard with your weeks food, otherwise you ain’t taking the truck out with nothing to survive on just because of their ridiculous stupid [zb] rules preventing you from surviving the present crisis…

Ffs man!
Is it just me or what??.
Hi Rob, no the way I’d solve it would be take the truck round to the car park. As a day wallah I can get by but if away for a week it would have to be the former. There is a gate but the ■■■■■ wont open it - so it is just a turnstile. What with stuff for the truck and some small stuff for me you just cant physically come in with owt else.
The thing that amazes me most is finding out McDonalds only have 1300 restaurants in the UK.
There’s about 8 within a 5 mile radius of my house alone!

Right ok, I was under the impression that rather than tell them you were struggling to get your kit in the cab, you were willing to stick to their stupid rule and go away under equipped.
There’s always a way of getting around these stupid bloody rules and restrictions they put on us…
As of tomorrow Greggs are closed, just had an email from them.

It’s your own fault for not panic buying.

Can’t believe that some trampers have no back up plan, got caught out in Spain when I first started and since then have always had at least 4 days of food and a means of cooking it with me, even if you just have a few tins of soup or canned stew, you don’t need to be Jamie Oliver just able to turn a gas cooker on.

amen
after getting stuck for 2 days on shap in a day cab guy with no heater in 3 feet of snow during my 1st winter made me invest in some soup and rice pudding with a 1 burner wee blue gaz stove…its not exactly rocket science to be reasonably prepared.
Yep, and one of those medium sized Camping Gaz bottles possibly saved my life in 1981/2 when it was used as a cab heater all night on one of the coldest nights of that winter.
We were snowed in on the A40 in the old Windrush cafe, got going the next day only to be stuck for the night after unloading just outside Hereford. Two drivers died in their cabs that night, one at Strensham services the other somewhere in Worcester. There were not the fast food oultests there are today, every self respecting driver could knock a meal up on one gas ring no matter where you were.
A two ring gas cooker was an absolute necessity if wekended in Italy miles from anywhere
