Exactly, and if things get exceptionally bad you can always go down the cooking roadkill route if you’re a ■■■■■■■■ tramper.

If I was a tramper, I would stop now, as it is not possible to get supplies in supermarkets and takeaways are closing, so if you cannot get food, then you cannot do the job, so the supplies will not get to the end user, seems like a perfect storm to me.

There is only so much stuff you can bring with you and if your employer has a turnstile to get through (DHL/XPO) and the supermarket shelves are bare and there are no hot drink/meal facilities en route and you don’t have a microwave, boudoir and a yank style sleeper cab wtf are you supposed to do?
Can’t believe that some trampers have no back up plan, got caught out in Spain when I first started and since then have always had at least 4 days of food and a means of cooking it with me, even if you just have a few tins of soup or canned stew, you don’t need to be Jamie Oliver just able to turn a gas cooker on.

after getting stuck for 2 days on shap in a day cab guy with no heater in 3 feet of snow during my 1st winter made me invest in some soup and rice pudding with a 1 burner wee blue gaz stove…its not exactly rocket science to be reasonably prepared.

Start back at work tomorrow after 10 days annual leave.Went to the supermarket this morning to get my supplies for the next few days and had no problem getting what i needed.Currently at home and just prepped some meals to go in the road pro whilst i’m away.Not sure what part of the country your in but up here in the North East shelves are stocked and take away outlets are open

And never know untill 2 3 pm tham.am staying out. As get back to yard thinking almost done then it’s were load you be in London for 8 am
Have to second guess where I work get told nothing.
I don’t have any luxuries as a full time tramper.
No fridge no cool box. No microwave
Have a camping cooker pots pans etc.
And some tinned stuff and basic bits.
For 4 years now I’ve coped pop local shops on my way round buy pint milk some chicken pieces or what ever I fancy for tea. On occasion been Wetherspoons etc. .
But twice now in past 2 weeks can’t even find a pint of milk on supermarket or corner shops
Had buy soya milk .
I know it’s 3rd world problems all that.
And not overly happy about having to shower either as never know who’s been in there 1st

You just need to tell them that their usual system is not going to work out for you the way things are,.and that you either need reasonable notice to prepare, or otherwise keep you on days.
They just need to sort out and adapt their planning, if you just say nowt nothing will change…you ain’t being unreasonable ffs.
As for showers, you just need to be extra careful.
