I missed out the Mammoth Minor Ergomatic cabbed twin-steer tractive unit in production from 1967 to 1971, and I probably have missed one or two other models out as well. (Including the Dumptruks etc)

I remember A E Evans bought a Mammoth Minor tilt cab secondhand off Thomas Allen, reg was XBY 508G, so they could run at 32 t gross. They also cut down two MK5 Mammoth Major 8-leggers into twin steer units and put them on the road in 1969/70,AYH 701H and BMX 746H,both for 32t running.I drove them all when I first started as spare driver, running gas condensate from BP North Sea Gas Plant,Spurn Head, to Immingham and the NCB refinery at Wath on Dearne.
This is a newspaper cutting of AYH,sent to me by Catllewagonman…

two when I first kicked off would love to see a pic of one, never seen one

Gingerfold .

Some of the AEC lorry models that Gingerfold missed out on was probably at least two of the following - taken from my AEC post on page 17 of this on Mon Sep 17, 2012 1:10 pm:-

The Marshal 8x2/8x4 Lorry model was actually the Marshal Eight 505 TGM8R,1968-1970.
Marshal Major AV760 2TG6R 6x2/6x4/8x2/8x4 Lorry model,1971-1976.
Mammoth Major Six V8 2VTG6R 6x4 Tractive Unit,1969.
AEC Leyland Marathon Mk 1 and Mk 2 2T25/27 Lorry models.1973-1979.

And from this post:-
AEC Majestic, normal control,6x4 Lorry version of the AEC Mogul, normal control,4x2 Lorry.

Militant and Mogul were originally the names of Maudslay lorry models, while Marathon was the name of the Maudslay Marathon Single Decker Motorcoach/Bus model variants.

Maudslay Maharajah Rigid Six-Wheeler Lorry model. Some examples of this model were converted into rigid eight-wheelers,with the addition of second steering axles.

Maudslay Mikado Rigid Eight-Wheeler Lorry model,1939 to 1943.Powered by a Gardner 6LW Diesel Engine.
Only nine Maudslay Mikado’s were built:-
Including Maudslay Mikado,Boxvan,8x4 Lorry,KRE 312,1942 Stafford registered.British Road Services Parcels until 1957,then a Sheffield commercial vehicle dealer sold the Maudslay to travelling showman,C.Farrell, who used it to transport his Big Wheel Ride…it was a magnificent fairground lorry!

The only photograph of a Maudslay Mikado that I can currently track down on the Internet is of a rear offside view of Maudslay Mikado,SB 6303,registered in Argyll,Scotland,in 1941-1942.Judging by the freight it’s carrying,it was operated by a Scottish brewing company:-

Frankydobo:
There you are Leylandlover an AEC Mustang from the Peter Davies book British Lorries of the 40’s & 50’s, Chinese Six configuration was quite popular during that time on rigids and most makers produced a model.
