ADR idiot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

froggy:
Why are you advocating getting rid of a driver, when you are not in charge of him or any other driver, and never will be,what the hell gives you the right to say who should or should not be driving a truck.

How do you know he never will be in charge of anyone froggy??
Everone is entitled to express themselves.
Leave sunshine alone.

would you work for some one like :grimacing: sunshine,ps dont tell me what to do. :astonished:

Sunshine is right by what he said.
If the individual worked for me, I would definately not be happy, and would probably eventually end up sacking him.
Good drivers are ones that want to do the job - whatever that involves.
If I worked for him and had that attitude, I wouldn’t expect to last long.
As for not telling you what to do - you shouldn’t have launched into such an offensive attack on a new addition to this forum. The moderators should have dealt with that though.
Last sentance retracted.

The moderators did deal with it within the TruckNet rules. From the bottom of froggy’s first post, a few minutes after he made the post:

Edited as this post breaks the TruckNet rules on personal attacks - Coffeeholic

No,your new pal sunshine is wrong, and has not got any right to tell any one that they should not be in work as a truck driver, just to add that if I found any body poking their nose in my business like what your new pal did,ie ask the guiy in charge who paid for my course, said nose would have a nose job with out any pain killer,no wonder the state of truck driving is like it is when you have little oiks thinking they know who should be driving a truck.

Neil - I stand corrected.

Froggy - No further comment. I think enough has been said.
People reading this will make their own judgements.

The problem is that many GOOD drivers are stuck with TM’s who are bad at what they are suppose to do i.e. manage the work force effectively & efficiently & as a result these drivers become unhappy & less efficient & that has nothing to do with how they drive.
Telling a good driver he will do his job “Whatever that involves” is not good management, so I suggest you look towards your own abilities before saying that some is a bad driver simply because they do not accept your dictate.

Easy guys…would hate to have to Yellow Card or, worse, lock this thread… :unamused:

Daxi - I think this all boils down to attitude towards the job.
You cannot tell anyone what to do, and I suppose I’m at fault if thats how it came over - but it’s still plain to see from what sunshine said that the fella in question may not have been in the right place doing the right thing.

…and I actually said “drivers that WANT to do the job”.
There could be a big difference there.

So you’d break his nose!!! [zb]

Personal attack removed.L.

Nothing to do with the "job"I said poking around in my affairs,■■■■■■

The auto-censor has taken out the offending word, but the meaning of it is still clear. CUT OUT THE PERSONAL ATTACK. L.

Froggy

Sincere thanks for your most interesting and informative offer of violence.

I would have to admit, I am interested to learn how you have deduced that I dont have staff responsibility from my posting.

I would also agree with you that the industry/bosses need drivers that can…drive. Stands to reason.

However, sometimes during an employees career, some form of learning is needed. It could be ADR, roping and sheeting, tacho, twin splitter or other knowledge. What it is does not matter. What does matter in the employees attitude and willingness to learn.

As for image, sorry you have that wrong. On average, an initial impression will be the basis of any ongoing relationship, business or otherwise. If an employee is smartly dressed, personal hygine is in check, that indicates a professional outfit. I am therefore unclear why you thing that this makes an employee “a ponced up prat”, what ever that may mean.

I did not poke my nose in to anyones business, I was simply having a conversation with the tutor and was enquiring as to why this guy seemed to have an agressive and negative attitude.

This is not about ADR its about attitude. You will note that in the posting made by Lucy, it was stated “Nor me. Have turned down the opportunity several times…” the key word here is “opportuinity”.

I think that its somewhat sad and alarming that you feel the need to resort to a threat of violence towards a new member to this forum as your opinion.

Sunshine

Please be aware that it is only the fact that you are evidently fairly articulate which has meant that your post does not need editing. You are still entering into a personal slanging match, and that is not considered acceptable on this forum. If you have a problem with a specific member, please take it to either PM or e-mail, keeping it off the public boards.
I appreciate that this may seem a little harsh considering the content of your post, but I have to be seen to be fair to everyone. As I have edited/warned everyone else involved in this spat - to leave you “untouched” would indicate a bias on my part which I do not feel. L.

I asked him who had funded his course, he said that he did not know or care.
I spoke to the tutor and he tells me his firm had paid for his course.

Presuming this tutor did tell you who was funding the course for this driver then that was very unethical & far more unprofessional than the driver you are complaining about.
Also if the information about this other driver is stored on a computer then he has broken the law, as it was a breach of the data protection act.

Just goes to show that it’s not always those that dress smartly that are the most professional, as you make no mention of the driver you complain about actually doing anything as bad as this instructor.

Sunshine makes no mention of asking the tutor who paid for his course!

This thread is now treading so close to the line, and so far off-topic (let’s face it, the posts above are more about one-upmanship than the subject in hand) that I am giving you one final warning before it gets pulled. :unamused:

THIS IS A YELLOW CARD[/i]

Lucy, pull it,it,s sad when another driver thinks that a driver should loose his job and livelyhood.

Foggy it was you that started this going off in a different direction.
Sunshine made a comment, and you jumped down his throat without justifiction.
He has explained his comments and so have I.
So before we all get on the wrong side of Lucy, let it drop.
