A snack van near you?

NiceRoadTrucker:
The van on Hopton Trading Estate, Devizes. The bloke and his wife who rub it Di a superb job with jackets and curries by 'phone order too. Excellent food snack van.

Then of course, Amandas Snacks. A361 Frome - Beckington. Lovely Baps.

This looks good if you swing both ways, the bloke and his wife rub it and superbly!!!

Fat fingers + touch screen HTC = innuendo!

What about the Exotic van at Morrisons Bridgwater. He sold zebra, venison, wild hog or boar, ostrich, antelope, giraffe and countless other meals.

M6 J2; On the A4600 towards Walsgrave. Suzie’s Sidewalk cafe in the forst layby next to the Tesco car park. Excellent food…

My ideal van  any one got a pic of the menu

Somebody put a photo of the menu on Trucknet. It is finding it.

Let’s hope they repost it

It’s in this thread

No badger burgers on the menu, i do not mind picking out the shot gun pellets if the price is right.

3 good ones-

Marshfield Bank Crewe (also opposite where I work)

Parkway, Marlow - really good and cheaper than chips.

Cliff, he’s either on Richmond Road or Guinness Road on Trafford Park (by the MAN dealers) three quid for a brew and a steak baguette, real steak, not recycled horse. PG Tips, the lot. Fab. One of my biggest disappointments about losing my Manchester run.

A definite one to avoid is the one opposite JCB on the A50. Unless you like carbon, that is. Proper minging!

Road kill is better, gravel bits are bigger and easier to pick out

I have often taken home and cooked pheasants that have not been lucky whilst crossing the road. They taste a bit like strong chicken.

that one in pic 3 im sure is on central way in andover had something from there once it was disgusting wouldn’t have fed it to a pig it went straight in the bin… :grimacing:

I quite like Hillside Café on Woodhead, opposite the dog and partridge pub heading from Tintwistle towards Sheffield.
Phill’s a decent guy and his food is good.
Free orange juice and biccy’s with any grub = full English + brew + orange juice for under a fiver.

yes…i went in there a couple of weeks ago.
not bad at all

Those look quite good if you compare them to the old cattle market cafe at Ross on Wye, even the rats would not eat there.

I was at a race meeting a couple of weeks ago and they had a snack van that had seen better days, the chicken curry was bloody lovely though.

The only one I go to is vals on woodhead ,its 20 years since I first stopped there and its as good now as back then ,I give her 10 out of 10.

is val still running the snack van dan ? i used to stop there most days , not been since i finished driving in '04 . grand lass and the snap was always top notch . cheers , dave

Yes Dave ,I only called on Thursday, some times I see her coming down the m66 in a morning about 6 ish.

There’s a couple I’ve visited are very good, the ships galley in the Wickes carpark opposite the grammar school in Penrith, massive portions for reasonable prices, and the one in the layby at Crooklands just off J36 M6 near canal garage.
