I would not stop at that first zb hole, apart from everything else they are flying the Union Flag upside down.

So did the BNP… Quite ironic
Palm Snacks on the A438 between Hereford and Brecon ( or Kington ). Excellent food, and long established popular clean stop.
chap on brecon industrial estate is good. much better than the one of the road to sennybridge.
reconise a couple round glocs and glad ive avoided them tbh.
Several years back I used to eat at a snack van on Renny Park road at the back of Newport Pagnell (just off the A509).
A few months back, this was in the papers. Zero stars , but not sure if that’s the same one as I’ve not been past it for a while
Tesco Wolverton makes the 1 star list, though I’m guessing that doesn’t mean the Costa in the store.
What about the van in the layby opposite the Texaco at Beckington on the road to Trwobridge.Always full in there.

Had a nice cold can of Lemonade there a few weeks ago but that’s all i will buy unless i’m dying of starvation.
I cringe when I think of some of the ■■■■ holes I used to eat at years ago , and I have a mate who still uses them everyday without fail, the greasier the better and as long as they are cheap
The only ones I use now are the ones on some retail parks, I find they tend to provide better standards for their target customers, ie families shopping, rather than the ones aimed at truckers ( I reckon that says a lot about how we are perceived generally)
The one next to B&Q on Abingdon retail park off the A34, and a one at B&Q Hartlepool are both spot on to name two.
Worst one I’ve ever eaten at is the one outside 3663 in Basingstoke, swimming in grease.
Disgusting threw it in the bin.
The one @ B & Q, clough road in Hull isn’t too bad
The one on Motherwell rd in Thurrock was spot on huge breakfast baguette for 4 quid, had everything in it he’s gone now which is a shame.
Anybody ever use the copper kettle on the a5[tamworth area] I think.Fantastic a farmer and his wife used to run it.You could sit in,the food was excellent and so was the craic. It may be still going 20+yrs since I was there.
regards dave.
The Butty Box just off the second roundabout on Nesscliffe bypass Shropshire, is very good and is an eat in portakabin with a toilet nearby.
Anybody know where Vic went? Dark red trailer which used to be the last place on the e/b 590 before the roundabout near Kendal, but not been seen (by me anyhow) for ages. Had a strange accent and called everybody “bab”.
Cracking scoffs out of there, proper local butcher’s stuff.
If you are dropping near a retail park what about using the restaurant in Morrisons or Tesco.I find them to be good value and hygiene is not an issue for them.
I love a snack van. It’s perfectly possible for them to have a good level of hygiene, the only difference between them and a cafe is you can see how clean the cooking and preparation areas are in a snack van

Gawd i used to in there daily when i was in the yard
(yard was near the gilpin bridge pub )
He did great hot pots and stew. And his breakfast box was legendary amongst the lads on the 590
will ask me brother if he knows anything!
Mainly as he used to supply him meat!
I used to stop at the same one everyday for a bacon bun until one morning I watched him coming from behind the tree doing up his zip, straight in the van and picked a load of bacon up and chucked it on the hot plate, never been near again

Extra flavouring
“Nice Burgers” - Golden Café in central Bristol - did a good fully loaded breakfast baguette, use to do collections from the printers (Evening Post) in the background of the pic, and grab some food whilst being loaded.
They don’t print there anymore so no longer go down there, think the van has changed to a white one now called “Golden Coffee”, don’t know if its the same owners.
