Ok,but we leave the abortion issue to one side then…
Or we could go back to the homosexuals and disabled people.
People are going to believe or disbelieve based on their personal experiences with anything above and beyond “Normal”.
If you’ve had a cushy life, where everything goes according to the law of averages - you’ll have faith in numbers rather than faith in anything else, upto and including God, of course…
What I’d call “Over-Luck” or “Suffering” at the opposite extreme - tends to lead people more towards having any kind of faith though.
Now ask yourself “How many LUCKY people have you known in your life?”
I’ve found that if you are near a lucky person, then all those around them, maybe yourself included if you linger close enough for long enough - get the exact opposite…
Eg. Lucky guy runs out between parked cars, truck swerves to avoid “lucky guy”, and ends up hitting you standing safely back on the pavement behind…
Then do it the other way around…
you walk out between two parked cars, Electric Scooter hits you, puts both of you in hospital, claims against you for compensation, and your buddy who’s back on the pavement this time - gets his foot run over, and sucessfully claims compensation from both of you involved in the collision!
The “lucky” person then gets described as “Having the luck of the Devil”, whilst the unlucky person is merely just another “persecuted believer”…
Add to that, that there are rather more unlucky people you know than lucky ones, and then take a step back and realize that the “lucky” ones - seem to be the ones you knew but have long since moved on, leaving you behind…

We already dealt with these.lets move on now
Btw,youre overusing those smily faces, doesnt have any effect if you use them after every sentence.
Winseer
I know some Christians who are well off and they say they are blessed but its nice to have lots of money but with that comes responsibilty
Didnt Jesus say,its easier for a rich man to go through the eye of a needle than to get to Heaven?
But then He didnt say it was impossible.I think it is how you use the money. If you put it to good use, then that pleases God.If you spend all your money on yourself and everything is about you, then thats maybe a waste of what God has given you.
I bet these same people ask why God allows suffering. We could ask the same question of why we allow suffering too.If you have spare money, are there not people in need of help?
So,in conclusion then, people want to accuse God of things, why He allows sickness and disease and son but when it comes to the suffering that man allows,oh no,we cant go there, that subject is taboo

Nah,.we’ve only dealt with it when you address it properly, and stop making out your cult is everything nice, when we know you/they are a bunch of primitive,.self righteous narrow minded bigots…like most crackpot religious fanatics.
Until you admit to that or part of that (as you know deep down it is true for the reasons I point out) then I will stop bringing it up…until then I wont.
We are very nice and welcoming. You make us look bad by the contraverial questions you ask dont yoy come and see for yourself,so next time youre in the midlands, you are welcome,Rugby truckstop would be a good place if you are overnighting there,I could pick you up if you are there on a Sunday morning. You get free coffee and biscuits, after the service, you might even get some wine,oh no,youre driving…

Nah I’ve been doing some painting mate, I need to watch it drying .
Nice and welcoming when you lure them in, then start brainwashing with b/s and indoctrinating them with bigoted attitudes towards homosexuality, and the ultimate insult towards innocent disabled people.
Like I say unadulterated and shear bigotry.
I’d sooner become a Man U supporter…hmmmmm ok maybe not THAT bad, but you get my drift.
No,youve got it wrong.Youre the one bring uo the topics of homosexuals and disabled people. It wasnt me that introduced these two things that you have a “preoccupation” with. But I can say one thing. If a woman is carrying a disabled baby,we would absolutley not tell her to terminate the pregnancy if she was a member of our church and came to us for councelling.Last year there were 3000 abortions carried out in the UK of babies because they were disabled, some with down syndrome, some just because they had cleft pallets.
Also, its not my choice that we live in a world where we cant all have perfect bodies.I wish we did and we have a responsibilty to help those who are are sick or if they are disabled then,we do what we can to help.We are achurch of love for our fellow human beings but we cant bend the truth as laid out in scripture.
I sense that you have some sort of bitterness to Christians or some certain groups of Christians.I dont know what or why.Im trying to work through.I havent had any training in this so I just do my best to try and figure it out
Sploom:

Is that your response to my Vampire-toothed squid from Hell post? Two of you bible-bashers have acknowledged some organisms are not creatures created by your IFITS, then when challenged further, you just ignore these “inconvenient truths”?

‘’‘Training’’ ?
‘Work through’'? .
…Who tf do you think you are exactly?..A 10 bob Billy Wright?
No need to ‘work through’ anything mate, nobody is interested in your particular brand of Christian Lunacy least of all me.
I do not hate Christians, what I do hate is harmful.dangerous and bigoted cults of any religious persuasion or denomination, who spend their lives trying to influence innocent people into their narrow minded and ridiculous way of thinking…oh yeah I also hate bigotry,.so you’re on a non starter my friend.

He also ignores the inconvenient truths about certain appalling policies and theories of his cult,. towards particular members of society. that I try to keep reminding him about.
Not going too well for him I reckon.
I don’t think the fact that Winseer of all people agreeing with him and backing him up either, is giving him any credibility.
Winseer:

New day, new nonsense. I have not had a “cushy life” (to date), I don’t believe in your irrational notions of an IFITS. Being rational, using maths and science in everyday life does not involve “faith” which is a system of “belief, even in the absence of all rational evidence”.
But… you have to be irrational to be religous, so it is therefore impossible to get you to accept a world view based on rationality, it’s anathema to you people. This is why the rest of us feel you’re all certifiable.
Sploom:
Didnt Jesus say,its easier for a rich man to go through the eye of a needle than to get to Heaven?
Priceless! You can’t even quote accurately from your own book. That should be “it is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven”
Furthermore, 99% of Christians I’ve ever met who quote that line have no idea what “the eye of the needle” that is being referred was. It’s not the eye of a sewing needle, it’s the “night gate” of Jerusalem, which was small, too small for a camel to enter without being unburdened of its cargo, but big enough for a person to enter, the inference being that a rich person would similarly need to be unburdened of their worldly possessions.
You’re going to need to do better than this, I’ve been tackling your people for decades and have found I frequently have more info than they do, most likely because I have sanity on my side
This might help Sploom:

OK, lets see if I can inculcate you with a bit of rational thinking/analysis, a process which the rest of us do pretty much automatically:
-
It won’t be a conclusion, because you won’t accept that the rest of us don’t believe in your Imaginary Friend In The Sky.
-
Therefore, because “he” doesn’t exist, we aren’t “blaming him” .
-
You’re the one who claims your imaginary friend is omnipotent, omniscient, the creator of ALL things, therefore to challenge these delusions we’re highlighting the existence of all manner of things which conflict your claims of a “loving” omnipotent being
-
Mankind does horrible nasty stuff to the rest of mankind, none of us are denying this. This happens because the intelligence and ability of Homo sapiens sits side-by-side with our basic and inescapable animal nature. One of your main problems, like many of your ilk, is that you think Mankind is “special”. Seriously, we’re not.
Many of the things we think of as solely human behaviours, especially human “criminal” or “immoral” behaviours, can readily be observed all over the animal kingdom: ■■■■, cuckolding, “adultery”, theft, betrayal, lying, bullying, land-grabbing, infanticide, patricide, fraticide, sororicide, cannibalism…
Potentially even “murder” in cases of competition between members of the great apes. I know you are utterly unable to accept this, but Homo sapiens are not “special”, we’re just a mostly hairless, fully upright ape with the gift of language.
I suspect you’re not naturally oriented towards literature, and are unlikely to crack open any one of the many Penguin Classics, but look for a DVD copy of Lord of the Flies for a visualisation of just how thin this veneer of human civilization is.
FYI, I know you won’t, you’ll crawl back into your book, so you can kid yourself you are special, that your life has an existential value and meaning, so that in the words of David Bowie “You can be heroes”, saving we “Godless sinners” from an imaginary fiery fate.
Religious people, especially evangelists, are essentially just narcissists.
You cant test if someone is a Christian based on all this scientific knowledge .Sometimes, you blind me with science. The method you use would work if I was claiming to be a doctor or an engineer, perhaps but my experience of being born again,I hear people have the experience and its very similar even though its the first time I met them.
Anyway,at least you answered my question
biblia.com/bible/esv/genesis/1/29-30
This verse describes how animals eating each other wasnt part of Gods original design. We were all vegeterian. We were only ordered to eat meat after the fall
I read about that vampire fish.its not nice but its like when my cat eats a mouse. Its not a nice thing for the mouse. So ,basically, the food chain didnt exist in the way it does after the fall
