A religion question for Robroy, but will he give me a straigh

Sploom:
I already told you all disease, sickness, defects unwanted ■■■■■■ desires, ageing, death come from original sin. Now,if God had allowed these things to happen from day one, then that would mean he is an evil god,of course it would, but these things all came after the fall.
God is infinitley good but the problem is,we are not.
Imagine we had an evil god in charge of the universe…but thankfully we dont

I’m sure anybody who has little kids with…‘defects’ as you crassly put it :open_mouth: ,.will love you for that one. :unamused:
And wtf are UNWANTED ■■■■■■ desires exactly ■■
And ageing  that is also a punishment eh?
What sh you talk mate

We’re certainly improving though , no bible quote claptrap this time in your answer,.but still no direct answer in the debate that YOU started.
So…
Again,… Is disability also a punishment from your God as in all diseases as you said■■?
If you have that way of thinking I can nor see that it is not.
2 possible answers
YES.
or
NO.

The irony of his thread title btw.

I dont know if it is too be honest but definitley if God created humans imperfect from day one,he wouldnt be a good god.
So,mere reason tells me its one of the consequences of the fall. Can I assume that you dont think I like seeing babies born with disabilities?

I think the saddest [& most dangerous] thing is that so many people all over the world of diverse faiths still believe this delusional claptrap in the 21st Century.OK I could understand it 2000 years ago when the world was flat & dragons & unicorns roamed the earth,& God was depicted as a Brian Blessed lookalike & the devil was a small red fellow with horns & a tail& a Van Dyke beard, heaven & hell were depicted as a Heronimus Bosch paintings. In those times maybe 1% of people could read & write so all information was from the clergy who used it to control people [of whatever faith],but in the 21st Century have we not moved on from that fantasy world.

Wtf do you mean you ‘don’t know’.
Funny is that as you are not usually that backward in coming forward and are forthright in every other less sensitive ridiculous theory that you readily spout.
Don’t try and appeal for sympathy either., nobody implied you liked seeing babies born with disability.
Truth of the matter is you belong to a bigoted opinionated, self righteous arrogant bunch of deviants and you try and pass it off as a force of good,.when in fact it is clear to see you are the direct opposite.
You should be ashamed of yourself for your view on disabled people,.people born with birth defects, and of course your favourite hate target homosexuals.
I’ve ■■■■■■ about with you long enough just thought it time to show you and your ilk up as to what you are…
Thank you for showing your true agenda and colours at last.

I rest my case, no further questions…my Lord (no not that one  )

Religion is something that is personal to all of us, some believe in everything written in the Bible and live their lives by it whereas others ‘drop into it’ when faced with a crisis in their own lives. It has caused most of the conflicts the World has suffered since it was discovered though. Personally I’m on the fence, it is a decent enough book of stories which have been added to over the centuries which can neither be proved or disproved as nobody has lived for 2000+ years. It’s given us some half decent films over the years though and made Cecil B Demille some cash. Also I’m not sure that God actually sent his only son down to save us, surely if things were really that bad he would have come himself instead of sending the lad to do it or was he still resting after building it all? So many questions that can never be answered.

Pete.

I’ve no problem with people believing whatever they want to believe - the thing I hate is when they gain power and then try and enforce their views on everyone else - like they do when they get behind morons like Trump and Desantis. And how they use “I believe…” as an argument as if we’re supposed to respect their beliefs. I believe psilocybin is a better route to spirituality then any man-made religion but I don’t try and force my ideas into law. Believe what you want - but let me make my own decision. I hate how they make children sing hymns at school for example.

There might have been a couple of dinosaurs on the ark but they would died out in the hostile post flood envoirement.

Then why didn’t they get a mention in the bible? If you genuinely believe in the idea of “the flood” over the mass of scientific evidence regarding Earth’s 4.6 billion year history, you are deranged beyond all hope.

Actually, not all dinosaurs died out. If you look out of your window you will probably easily see many creatures which evolved from dinosaurs in the late Cretaceous period (yes I know, you believe the Earth cannot be that old because it says so in your book :unamused: )

Where did the energy come from? Understanding physics is heavily dependent on understanding very complex Maths:
math.uchicago.edu/~may/REU2013/ … /Older.pdf

I don’t pretend to be up to the standards of digesting something like that, but I know that others who are up to that standard have dissected it to the n-th degree and found it acceptable. That’s the basis of science - trust in the peer-review model, which is open to further challenges based on new knowledge. If the established understanding can be destroyed by new information, scientists will happily pull it down.

That is total anathema to someone like yourself who would rather swallow a load of old twaddle than change their mind. So there is no point whatsoever trying to explain current cosmological theories, with their mathematical basis, to someone with a deliberately naive child-like attitude to life, who would rather believe implausible old fairy stories, than study our current scientific model of the universe.

Unlike you superstitious, closed-minded, Luddite anti-scientists, we rational people are aware that the body of human knowledge is ever-increasing. Arguably the first challenger to your naive view of the universe was Copernicus in the 15th Century. It continues right to the current day - We’ve just launched a space telescope to map the Universe in 3D to try to understand Dark Matter and Dark Energy.

Don’t let our scientific progress interrupt your fantasies of an imaginary friend in the sky offering you “eternal life” (whatever “life” could mean when you are dead :unamused: ) but you need to understand how genuinely, certifiably insane you appear to the rest of us.

That is why the Security services in the UK are monitoring people like yourself as well as Islamic Fundamentalists, and your lot are now considered more dangerous than the Islamist version of the same bollox.

With a little bit of luck, Sploom’s IP address will be on the watchlist. I won’t be surprised if Sploom pops up on ProtectUK  That’s the security services app based warning system. The DfT reckons anyone involved in the world of dangerous goods should be signed up to it.

Hopefully, fundamentalists are so anti-science they won’t be able to acquire the (all too readily available) information on manufacturing IEDs from High Consequence Dangerous Goods. :open_mouth:

Robroy. You can try and find fault with me all you want.At the end of the day Hebrews 9.27 reminds us that a day has been appointed for us all to stand in judgement by God,that includes you.All your deeds will be laid bare, good or bad.The books will be opened.

Matthew 12:36 KJV
But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
Are you ready for that day?
Its a retorical question.I try to help you the best I can and in good faith

I dont need to worry about my ip address.I treat people with respect online as I do in real life,Im not a keyboard warrior

Ahh so we’ve reverted back to meaningless word soup b/s again then eh? :unamused:
Address the points, prove me wrong,.answer my questions… or shut the ■■■■ up…you’re actually starting to mildly annoy me now.

If you seek God ,He will reveal Himself to you and you will have answers to your questions.

Robroy.I cant say that someone or anyone deserves this or that without falling foul of Mathew 7.Judge not lest ye be judged. So,I cant answer your question about what people do or do not deserve.
God designed man and woman, the woman as a helper and man to lead.Anything outside of that is an unwanted desire

windrush.
Jesus ,the Father and the Holy Spirit.
All the trinity.Only Jesus could pay the price for sins because if anyone else did, that would mean they are only being punished for their own sins and therefore,it wouldnt be an adequate atonement for the sins of mankind

Still.waiting for the explanation on the ‘‘Unwanted’’ ■■■■■■ desires.btw.
Any ■■■■■■.desires I have ain’t unwanted as such,.and I don’t pursue them anymore anyway as I’m happy with what I have got.
What does that mean?.., the only unwanted ones would be either illegal,.totally bizzare or both…or are you on about same ■■■ again.
Have you been fancying somebody/something you shouldn’t be Sploom?..:pray tell.

Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
