hello rob,
my days at MTL heavy haulage, one of the best jobs i had, i drove this motor for a while went like a train, MTL sold most of his fleet now, he got bored with the trucks, he still has the 143 and one of the 250 ton M.A.N.s, moving the EMM offshore gear about in aberdeen.

cheers

Drove my 113 for 6 months and a 143 for a year, no back issues, and thats from someone who less than 6 months before starting my driving career on the 113 broke my spine in 3 places.

Make of that what you will.

It was, and i asked my dad (who has a O liscence and CPC), however after soul searching we decided that a £15,000 DAF CF or VOLVO FM would be so much better as a fresh start!!!

This is my mates wagon from Tideswell in Derbyshire. He runs it on tipper work.

Nice, and one of the latest reg steel bumper V8’s I’ve seen.

Carl:
saw this at thamesport in the summer

A chap called Guy owns this one, he pulls for the same firm that the bloke with the 95 Daf with all the lights on it does

Here’s a pic of the best money earner I ever owned, I was subbing for MJD at the time, so I had his name on it, you can tell it’s not one of his though, for one thing it’s clean and nothing is falling off, the driver (me) also speaks no Polish at all

It had been to Feathers before I owned it, they work magic up there, it was a flying machine and good on diesel too, so long as there were no tunnels around as it had the 5’ pipe hammered through the silencer treatment and used to make the most amazing noise :sunglasses:

Although I’ve never been a Scania fan (even after a spell with a 112), looking at the pics has made me realize what a great looking motor they were (are). I think I was just jealous of the blokes driving 'em! Classic design.

Regards,

Mark.
