Yep. Another ‘Professionally Competent’ driver.
Good to see the CPC ain’t a complete waste of time after all eh,.with time and money well.spent.
Here’s another example of how driver quality has improved because of it.

Yeah I saw that in the MEN other day.
I can’t think of a single reason to do that where he has done, other than the road is blocked and he’s thought [zb] it I’m having a go. Ample opportunities for turning around there both official and unofficial
No excuse really lol.

And they were daft enough to do it if that was the case
Credible effort all the same.
I bet the 15’9" bridge is statistically THE most-often hit bridge in the UK
…By double decker trailers!
To be fair to the driver the trailer design looks ( a lot ) lower at its front than back end.The front clearly having cleared the bridge.
It’s easy to understand anyone getting caught out by adding the overall front end height of the trailer to the unit’s 5th wheel height when setting the indicator.
It would also be worth checking the height of the bridge v the signage.
Strangely the same joke 10 foot meme also appears on at least one dodgy local bridge here in Surrey and obviously nowhere near that one, that would be a miracle if it actually meets its posted signage and having claimed one or two victims in its time.

You have to make allowances for him, he’s not a professional driver, just a wannabe.
CF…
Put the Christmas sherry down.

So you don’t think the overall height of an artic is generally measured relative to 5th wheel height and varies accordingly ?.
Which is obviously moot if the trailer is higher at the back than the front.
Professional indeed.
While if you think the front of that trailer looks like it hit the bridge you should get your eyesight checked.

Happy Christmas CF
Obviously whoever is running around writing a sarcastic 10 foot warning on bridges knows something that the council sign writers and their victims don’t.13’3’’ if you dare.

Just noticed they also seem to be going to all the trouble of writing a more or less continental figure 1.Not a standard Brit style figure 1 without the stroke at the top.
Also no need for the base.Strange.

Let’s get this right .The English figure 1 is just a straight vertical line.
The capital letter I has two horizontal ends
The continental figure 1 is so confusing they need to put a horizontal line through the middle of the figure 7 stop it being confused with the figure 1.
The 10 foot sign would be much clearer written the English way as opposed to the combination of a letter I and a continental 1.
