hiviz, designated walkways, hard hat for doing up your curtains, no reversing without a banksman, stand in the box of shame while the FLTs work, no climbing on the bed of the trailer etc etc it’s no wonder that people get hurt in stupid accidents - nobody is allowed to think! So as soon as a tired driver wanders off a walkway of shame he gets run over by a FLT driver who has been indoctrinated by the nanny state to not look for people anywhere except on the walkway of shame.
Can you tell that I have got stitched up with a Tesco RDC drop?
I see construction workers walking round streets and shops with hard hats on regularly

Not for me,I’m afraid - I quite like my own clothes and see no need to cover them up in public with a nasty synthetic bag. They’re dirt traps and invariably look grubby.
As said gets chucked behind the seat and only gets dragged out when mandatory.
Same geezers often have the obligatory blooloo stuck in their shell like, they do look a lot of buggers, you sometimes see 'em in the supermarket after hours still resplendant in hivis and blooloo.
They’d look better if they had a curly slightly indiscrete wire running from the shell-like down inside their polo shirt, a pair of raybans and they could easily be mistaken for undercover secret service, especially if they talk furtively into their fake wristwatch …as Maoster points out it’s embarrasing enough already so hope one of them doesn’t think this a good idea
Cringeworthy sadacts deserving of ridicule. My hi vis is “outside clothes” and as such lives in the side locker along with other outside things like ovies, hard hat, jelly baby suit.
I have no idea why anyone would want to wear the things for any longer than they have to. The funny thing is not wearing one makes you stand out more
A.
I have to wear high viz pants, am I OK wearing them in the services?
Get yourself on farm work, no high viz in site!
I really do not understand what is wrong with wearing your hi viz all the time, why does it bug so many drivers, lifes too short to worry about things like that.

Because too many people think truck drivers are bellends as it is, without walking around looking like one.

We deliver to a lot pet shops in garden centres so have wear hi viz but it drives me nuts the no. of garden centre customers that then walk up and ask were so and so fricking dept/flower/bush is…
I am wearing a totally different uniform to the staff but hi viz is just a universal uniform to people, its why soon as in the cab it’s chucked behind the seat.
I found a B&Q hat one day,i said to my bro lets go to one of their stores, love to see the look on a customers face if they come up and ask where a certain product is,my reply would be HOW THE HELL WOULD I KNOW,GO AWAY,the manager would be called[probably]would be quite funny really, unfortunately I didn’t in the end

understandable I suppose, often wondered who invented the Hi viz, must have become a billionaire from the product, everywhere you look now the Hi viz is there

Certainly does not ‘worry’ me, and it doesn’t ‘bug me’ as such (ok then it does )
I just can not understand how these guys do not realise that they look a complete ‘A’ grade dil sat there behind the wheel wearing one, but if that FACT does not bother them, why should it bother me.
Here in Holland, there’s not a hi vis to be seen. Certainly not amongst drivers or any of the distribution centre staff that I encounter. Definitely no supermarket drivers wear them from what I’ve seen. Nobody seems to get run over or injured as a result of not wearing hi vis as far as I know. They just seem to use their common sense and watch out for stuff.
Only hi vis I see are maybe drivers on construction lorries or delivering plant. The only time you see all of Holland wearing orange is on Kings day or when the national team are playing somewhere.

Because we’re forced to wear them every where, it won’t be long before they make us wear Red Noses, Big Long Shoes & carry a Big Yard Broom as well, to go with the rest of our Clown Outfits.
I see youve dug out those shoes again ND…
Re hiviz…tbh i dont even own one…
Don’t think he wears one Andrew.
