Night-time photograph of pair of J.M. Bell & Sons` Scania units
Barnard Castle Truck Show.

Cheers, cattle wagon man.

Went to the coast today, so called in at Chris Waite’s yard on the way past Driffield…

He always has some smart rigs.

Thanks to kevchalluk for the Chris Waite photographs.
C.W.`s fleet are rarely seen on the west side of the Pennines.

R.H. Newhouse`s Scania 6 wheeler is photographed here at Hawes Auction, September 2012.

Cheers, cattle wagon man.

R. & R. Newhouse is the name on the Scania cab, but the name on the cattle trailer
is R.H. Newhouse , - all from the same family.

Photographed at Bentham Auction Mart .

Cheers, cattle wagon man.

Hi folks,

Another smart motor from the Chris Waite fleet.

Kind regards
Simon

Hi Folks

Fred Greenwood & Son - Volvo FH16

Kind regards
Simon

Not the usual all-glittering Volvo FH 16 of Longthorne Bros., but their smaller FM for a change.
Photographed on lairage loading dock at Borderway Mart, Carlisle , earlier this month.

Cheers, cattle wagon man.

Two of Longthorne Bros` Volvo FHs , on parade at Carlisle Truck Show earlier this month.

Cheers, cattle wagon man.

Two more tractor units, - this time from the Esholt Stable, - still shine after a heavy rain shower .
Carlisle Truck Rally, 2013.

Cheers, cattle wagon man.

Fantastic motor Dave - is it better than the big Scania’s?

Chris Waite - cracking fleet.

Kind regards

Simon
P.S. If you go to the ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ section on Trucknet’s Board Index page, then select the ‘New Easy Way to Upload Photos’ thread, it explains a simple way of uploading your photos.

Thanks Simon , yes she does go well! Still bedding in , only got 45000kms on the clock at mo but very pleased with it, we were in commercial moter magazine a fortnight ago with it and a 730 scania we run, and they couldn’t find much between them.

I know that I have already posted this photograph on the A 65 ...... thread , but its a worthy cause to show it on here too. It is quite a contrast from todays high-powered " livestock taxis ".

When new , in 1959, GEC 992 was driven by Dalesman .

Cheers, cattle wagon man.

I know he isnt from the yorkshire area but I thought I would post this on here due to it being a thread about livestock haulage.
Just read in a magazine that Malcolm (Mac) Arrowsmith from Shropshire past away on the 14th March 2013 at the age of 71.Malcolm was the owner of the Dodge D308 (pictured below) since he was given it for his 21st birthday and was still using it up until a fortnight before his death.R.I.P.Maybe some of you lads who run livestock knew Mac and his lorry. My apoligies if this has already been posted.

Sorry about this but I have just found the thread on Shropshire Livestock hauliers and it was reported on there, once again my apoligies

Hi John,
Aye, it was a sad loss of Malcolm ( Mac ) Arrowsmith , a few months ago.
He was almost unrecognizable if driving any different cattle wagon from his beloved Dodge , 3622 VT.
Another livestock haulier joins the big Auction Mart gang in the sky.

On a different note, heres a Foden 6 wheeler , belonging to Braithwaites of ( Marske ? ), Swaledale. Ragamuffin , on here might fill in with conformation that Ive got the correct details.

Photographed at Hawes Auction Mart, a couple of years ago.

Cheers, cattle wagon man.

Prior to Braithwaites owning the Foden, the 28`long , 3 deck body was fitted to this E.R.F.
The colour of the cab is almost identical to that of BOCM Silcock , the agricultural feed millers.

Photographed at Hawes Auction Mart about 3 years ago, - and on a (typical :unamused: ) wet day.

Cheers, cattle wagon man.
