After a suggestion from Rikki, I have recently stayed at York Lorry Park and found it excellent.
£9 to park with a £2.50 voucher for your meal which is proper home cooked food although the selection can be a little limited. Showers are new and clean with exclusive access for truck drivers. CCTV and security men 24 hrs. Ample parking space.
Situated on the A166/A64 junction but well sign posted all around the York Ring road.
Well worth a try if your in the area. The only down side is the cafe and bar close at 9 pm!
