Yodel Hatfield

Anybody had the pleasure of going here in the last few days, especially after 8pm ? It’s like Operation Stack ! It took me 2 hours to get from the roundabout ( next to the Porsche Showroom ) to their gatehouse the other night. Also an absolute nightmare for companies close to Yodel’s yard, like Royal Mail,Bookers,City Link etc: going about their business.
Not too mention the locals living in the houses along the way,not getting much kip :exclamation:

The last couple of years I’ve been sent in there from Aylesham & Dartford. Been too busy elsewhere this year to get any of that though.

Madame on the gate seemed to process trucks into the site fairly quickly, so it’s not as if queueing down to the roundabout before RM NHC will involve you sitting there for very long, unlike tip queues at Palletrunners. :unamused:

I just had a text from them today saying “due to the extremely high volumes of packages this year, your delivery will be delayed, yadeeyadah…”

Hatfield is the one closest to me, drove past it today, looked like a Christmas turkey - stuffed

Is this company good with its class1 drivers?
I was informed that I’ll have a theory assessment but I don’t know of what to expect.

A “theoretical assessment”? Wtf?

I guess they mean theory test, or tests…

One agency I signed up with wanted:

  • A highway code test.
  • An ADR test.
  • A Drivers hours test.
  • A Tacho usage test.

It’s getting a bit ridiculous!

So you failed to get the job then.

LOL, I almost wish I hadn’t got the job!

Sorry could not resist

But is this a good company to work for?

I worked for them on the agency for a spells over the years.

The wagons were spot on,new trailers mixed with some old ones.

The planners/office staff were sound as a pound and left you alone to get on with it,never rushed.

The permanent drivers seemed quite happy with their lot.

All in all a good place to work, imho.

I wish they’d enforce it properly so when they get the answer “Que?” - it’s an automatic fail! :smiling_imp: :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve not been in there for about 2 1/2 years chief.

Can’t remember anybody that name when I was in there.

Spill the beans then
