You can still take the reduced rest you were planning to take. Those 24 hours will be regarded as a weekly rest period but there is nothing to stop you having consecutive reduced rest periods, provided in any two weeks you have at least one full rest.
You can have more than one weekly rest period per week.

If I understand you correctly you’re asking if you can have two consecutive reduced weekly rest periods ?
If that is what you’re getting at then the answer is yes you can have two consecutive reduced weekly rest periods as long as they’re not the only weekly rest periods in two consecutive weeks.
Lets say you have Monday and Tuesday off (45 hours weekly rest), you work Wednesday and have Thursday off (24 hours reduced weekly rest), you then work Friday and have Saturday off (24 hours weekly rest).
That’s two consecutive reduced weekly rest periods in the same week and neither of them will require compensating for as you’ve also had a regular 45 hour weekly rest period in the same week.
Now lets say you have a reduced weekly rest period on a Wednesday and it’s the only weekly rest period you have in that week, you then work 6 shifts and have another reduced weekly rest period on the following Wednesday then work another 6 shifts.
This is illegal because you’ve gone two consecutive weeks without a regular 45 hour weekly rest period.
In other words you can have two or more consecutive reduced weekly rest periods as long as you comply with the rule that says you must have a regular weekly rest period at least every second week.
Any period of 24 hours rest is considered a reduced weekly rest period but if you have two or more consecutive reduced weekly rest periods only one will need to be compensated for.
