Well it seems I was wrong. We got a box of ferrero the other week, we got a 30 quid Tesco gift card today and we have a goody bag of Ferrero stuff coming tomorrow. Sadly I will have finished for Christmas so won’t get my goody bag until I come back in the new year.

£500 to which all 25 drivers are giving to a lad who has beat cancer this year and comes back fighting fit in January. 
puts it into perspective really, yes it’s a bonus BUT you can’t miss what you didn’t have in the first place! Health and family first. 
Works Xmas do with a large buffet and all ale and spirits paid for for us drivers and partners. Over 150 turned up so fair play to our gaffer.
Worked for a crowd in Manchester a few years ago, I’m from and reside in Ireland. Christmas party was a weekend in Newcastle. They paid for the fights, hotel, beer, food even the parking charge for my car in Dublin. Oh and also the trip to the ■■■■■■■■■■. 20 of us on it.

Look at it that you at least get paid your Xmas bonus 10/11 months earlier than most

But I’m also sure that there are a few lads for who that £500 would have made a difference. Or who have to face a less generous partner who doesn’t agree with giving away £500. Am I to cynical when I gather that this idea was put forward by one or two drivers, and that everybody ‘has’ to join in, lest they get treated like a leper? Could you not have given half of your bonus each?

There must have been a few drivers whose wives did not work, and were genuinely hard up.
A few quid, yeh a nice gesture, the whole 500 not so sure, but fair play to the guys anyway.
