Is this legal as far as Working Time Directive is concerned? (Less than 4.5 hours driving each day in the following two scenarios.)
Scenario 1: Work 6 hours, 15 minutes break, work 3 hours, finish.
Scenario 2: Work 6 hours, 15 minutes break, work 6 hours, 15 minutes break, work 2.5 hours, finish.

I would take 30 mins break(s) in total in Scenario 1 and 45 mins in Scenario 2.

15 min break short in each example

- If your total working time is more than 6 hours but not more than 9 hours you need a total of 30 minutes break.
- If your total working time is more than 9 hours you need a total of 45 minutes break.
(Working time does not include breaks or POA)
In scenario 1 you did a total of 9 hours working time so you need a total of 30 minutes break.
In scenario 2 you did over 9 hours working time so need a total of 45 minutes break.
So neither of those 2 scenarios are legal.
