Im coming back to driving after a long break (12 years) been trying to refresh on all the drivers hours and reading how the WTD will affect my working week and I’ve just read that if I start my shift between 00:00 and 04:00 hrs I can only do a ten hour shift. Have I got this right??
Thanks in advance for any info.

You can only work 10 hours in a 24 hour period, but work only means driving or loading, not whilst on break or availability.
However if the majority agree to opt out of this rule than that is permissible. Most companies have an opt out agreement already.
Remember you are working to the Road transport Directive and not the common Working Time Directive
The rule is if any part of your shift falls between 00h00 and 04h00, the start time is irrelevant. So if your shift ends at 00h05 then you are limited to 10h of working time that shift unless you have a workplace agreement opting out of it.
