Nice one!
Although that is probably the original cab - the Motor Panels shell was used on a variety of chassis.
Here’s a bigger version

Can I ask which yard this is in? I thought I’d got most of the cranes on the Broads!!
Originally an Onward Distribution tractor unit and stretched by James Nuttall this ■■■■■■■ 320 ERF E14 six wheeler wrecker is still in use today.

Fryske - The Crane was parked in the boat yard opposite the Broads Museum at Stalham Staithe, a quick look round her suggests its in regular use, any idea when she was built and could it be ex army ■■
Not sure about the age of it - could be ex military though - I will go and have a look when I am in Potter at the weekend.
Thanks for the location - there’s a couple of nice old cranes at Herbert Woods in Potter and an elderly Hydrocon in Horning too.
Hello Sniffy, They were ex M.O.D, and built somtime in the 70’s (early to mid i think), most of them were sold off at auctions in the early 90’s. I remember my ex-govener buying alot of these crane’s, most of’em being very tidy and hardly used! He exported alot of them and some went to companies here in the UK, boatyards being amoungst them!! I the lifting gear was GROVES and the cab was indeed a MOTOR PANELS item, this being the same pattern used on the SEDDON 16\4 ect. Cant remeber what engines they had, possibly a 4-pot PERKINS.

Has anyone got pictures they can put up of Unity of Leicester’s new Volvo FH 5 axle rotator with Syren gear? I’ve only seen a small picture of it but it looks like a beast.
