Wouldn't get out of bed for that?

Not to bad a deal

Quote from the article…

“It now expects its adjusted operating margin this year to be 11.8%, down from 12.8% expected in May.”

Therefore after settling from $145,000 to $170,000 the bottom line is affected by 1%. They fight like it’s the end of the known universe over 1 measly ■■■■■■■ percent!

It is affected by 8%

Also, operating margin isn’t all the way down to the bottom line.

Just saying.

In the UK that would include ;-
Holiday Pay
Night Out money
Meal allowance
Pension
Bonus
Attendance Allowance
And everthing else the Boss can think of to make it more attractive :astonished:

Which is…

Fair enough. I still maintain that the pay rise awarded hasn’t put them out of business or stopped any of the directors from buying another Bentley or two.

What are UPS drivers, truck or van, on here then?
All in it’ll be less than 50% of that I reckon.

If you want an easy job then don’t be a UPS van driver over here, They’re flat out all day, everything is timed to the minute. Having said that they don’t have a big turnover rate in my area so it must be worth it.

“UPS reached a deal with the Teamsters union to avert a strike last month”

For all those who like to say “drivers should stick together”

Nothing special , earn that just doing weekends & odd b/h

Starting salary for C1 drivers is around £33k, Class B is £29k IIRC for 40 hours, easy to get an hour or so of overtime every day if you want it. Work can be good or bad depending on your local management although the company is relentlessly cutting costs to a penny pinching level despite record profits. We’ve just voted to reject our latest pay deal and will be balloting for industrial action if the company doesn’t come back with an improved offer. Same thing happened in the States, they said there was nothing more to offer then magically “found” money to give the new contract.

The headline is a little misleading, someone worked out the actual number is closer to $140k once you add in all the benefits and it’s not the average driver, it’s the seasoned drivers with top seniority who would be raking in that much
