Some bright spark put it in the wrong way round so you could see them from the outside in but they couldn’t see you when they looked out !!!

Not a dc as such but matthew clark the premier drink wholesaler is possibly the worst tip i ever been to, the york one is the worst, staff ignore you, when they have to speak to you it,s through a seris of grunts then back to ignore again, if your even 5mins late they hold you up for hours. Hopefully will never hav to come back to this ■■■ of a place again

Lidls at enfeild, THE worst for us, fresh direct bicester for their chaotic way u have to tip at 3 different wharehouses for chilled,frozen & ambient and any 3663, especially enfield where its a blindside down a slope onto the bay.
Sainsburys at basingstoke was a favorite cos after handing in the keys I would nip up to the staff canteen for breakfast, and costco at lutterworth, drop the keys & grab a subsidised wet & some breakfast from the canteen

I must agree that a lot of the so called rest rooms are a total disgrace, Emerson green ( sainsburys ) has 4 seats and one table, yet has bays for a lot more. Waltham point ( sainsburys ) has a 2 tables and 7 seats, but in the warehouse is a satellite canteen, help your self, but only snacks and drinks. Waitrose is one of the worst, because all of the machines use a swipe card, and if you want one, have to pay £5, then top it up yourself, great if you deliver there once in a blue moon. Sainsburys you are allowed to use their canteen, BUT, its a swipe card system, and often you have to wait for someone to let you in or out. and there is no tannoy system.
I will agree that the facilities given to visiting drivers are way below standard, but a lot of that stems from the way drivers have treated them in the past, even today, cups and newspapers are often left strewn around, even though there are sufficient bins. A lot of drivers are their own worst enemy, and quite often when i see a driver leave his empty cup, i will say, Its ok drive, ill throw it in the bin but thats looking for trouble. And i cannot see RDCs ever changing things, and yet, when abroad, the systems are so much more different, and respectful…wonder why.

Sainsbury’s Stoke has got to be near the top of any list of the worst RDCs.
If the idiots they have working there spent just half the energy they waste trying to find excuses not to do things on actually doing their jobs instead, it would be much better.
Bargain Booze at Crewe deserves an honorary mention for being most Jekyll and Hyde, I have been in and out in 15min once and then 4h30 gate to gate the next time!

Morrisons Bradford/Thrapston/Gadbrook, Lidl Enfield, Lidl Runcorn, Aldi Neston, BP oils Magna Park, Swithern Bank Enfield, Bidvest Oldham, Paradise Foods Gateshead, Bradgate Bakeries Leicester… All amazing drops, wish I could do them everyday!
just thought i’d add the new co-op rdc at south normanton (the one just off jcn 28 m1) for a new build the drivers rest room was obviously an afterthought no bigger than a broom cupboard and not enough seats and the ones that are there are torture to sit on

His email still works got a reply so we will wait and see, maybe I should post the pictures here for all to see. The difference is I am not just complaining about tipping on awkward bays and staff being miserable, I talking about dirt and bust chairs that are clearly a health risk. Rooms that haven’t seen I mop and water in months and the fact that newspapers can sit about for up to a month, that’s before some driver lifts them and puts them in the bin. Different if you where in and out in 20 mins but you could have to utilise these dumps for up to 3 hours and maybe more.
