Working while on annual leave

Hello experts,

I’m newly qualified C+E and I’m currently still working 5 days, 40 hours a week in retail. I’m with an agency working one day a fortnight to gain experience, (and the money’s nice too).

My question is this: I have a week’s annual leave coming up; can I work for the agency during annual leave from my normal job, or does time spent on annual leave count as work under the WTD?

I’ve tried searching this forum and on Google but haven’t been able to find any clear cut answers.

Thanks, Dan.

The EU regs and RT(WT)R are not bothered about time on annual leave from your other job so you just need to record the driving job and stick to the rest rules

WTD from normal job and RT(WT)R from driving job are not connected in any way

Actual work done (being paid has no bearing) in normal job counts as other work for EU regs

Okay, brilliant. Thanks for clearing that up ROG.

Dan.
