Working two 6 day weeks in succession?

Just a quick question if I may, regarding weekly rest.

I recently started a new job. I did a four hour assesment on the Monday, was offered the job and started on the Tuesday. I then worked five consecutive days. Had Sunday off then back to work Monday to Saturday last week. This week, I started on Monday and am expected to work another 6 day week through to Saturday.

My question is really regarding my assessment. As my digicard was used, would this be counted as a working day?

Can anyone clarify wether I can legally work this Saturday, ie, tomorrow, or wether today, Friday, should be my last shift before taking a 45 again?

Assessment driving counts for EU regs so at first glance you need a 45 off this weekend …

The assessment is a working day, so unless there was a period of at-least 24 hours from when you withdrew the driver card after the assessment to when you started the new job that’s when your working week began.

As regards whether or not you can legally work another 6 days this week, it depends what you was doing before you started the new job.

To answer that correctly you may need to trace back over a few weeks weekly rest periods, back to the last time you had a holiday or an extra couple of days off.

Was you working the week before last ?

Edit:
If you never worked at-all in the week before starting the new job you’re good to go for two consecutive reduced weekly rest periods, otherwise it will depend on previous weekly rest periods.

tue 26/11 to sat 30/11 work
sun 01/12 off = reduced weekly rest
mon 02/12 to sat 07/12 work
sun 08/12 off = reduced weekly rest
mon 09/12 to …

From that it looks like you are already in the ■■■ OR have I cocked up?

Where is the regular weekly rest in the two fixed weeks 25/11 to 01/12 and 02/12 to 08/12 - I see two consecutive reduced weekly rests but there must be a regular one by law in at least one of those fixed weeks
Did you have a regular weekly rest over the weekend of the 23/11 + 24/11 which you used for the fixed week 25/11 to 02/12 because that would then make the above legal

What you did prior to 25/11 is very important here so if you could post what you did before that date and what weekly rests were used for what fixed weeks will help

Generally no but it can look like two have been taken in a row illegally when its actually legal

Take a weeks holls and start back on Monday morning - that last 45 hours of the holls can be used for a regular weekly rest for the week starting

Then take two weekend reduced weekly rests followed by a regular weekly rest the following weekend

The first regular is at the start of the first week
The two reduced are at the start and end of the second week
The third is at the end of the third week
The second week only needs one weekly rest so one is an extra not used for any week and does not need compensating for

When that is looked at it reads - regular - reduced - reduced - regular - but it legal
