Hi can I ask u a question
A debate with someone
On time directive
I need a break at least 15 minutes before 6 hours
30 mins break between 6 and 9 hours and after 9 hours you need to have had a 45min break to meet time directive
And if 4.5 hours after driving needs a straight 45 mins held to meet driving
So I start at
7am other work(doing checks)
7.15 driving
8am other work
9am driving
10am other work
10.45 driving
11am other work
11.30 driving
12 other work
Break 15 mins to meet time directive 5 hours worked
Driving is just 2.hours and 30 mins
There’s no infringements there, just remember that your second break can be anywhere in your shift, as long as you take it. Remember though that you can’t finish on a break, you can’t break the 6hr rule, POA can extend 6hrs by a max of 3hrs.
I think you have a WTD infringement, you worked 7.5 hours and only had a 15min break. Up to 6 hours work you must have 15min break. 6 hours and 1 second you need 30min break. 7am to 2.30pm is 7.5 hours work minus 15min break is 7.25 hours work. You should of had another 15min break by 1.15pm.

Incorrect answer - perhaps you read it incorrectly
Driver did 5 hours of work/drive
break 15 mins
Driver then took a 30 min break a couple of hours later
So far so good
The second break at 2.30 only needs to be a 15min break but you will HAVE to have it on other work for at least 1 min. as mentioned earlier can not finish on a break
fuse:
why would you want to work 5 or 6 hours and only have a 15 minute rest ,it is 2019 you know
Because during the other times when he is on other work he may well have been eating his dinner, smoking a ■■■, drinking a coffee, watching ■■■■, sleeping on the bunk etc etc.
