Working for sky sports

Anyone here worked for sky? Seen a few artics over the years parked up outside football grounds with shiny mercs looked like actros mega space cabs. Could be an interesting job if you like your sports and are given access to the sport ie press pass(unlikely I know).
Would of thought that’d be more then 7 quid an hour anyone know more?
Just curious.

I did it in Ireland, but it was covering the Gaelic games. Not my cuppa tea. Did do a few Heineken cup rugby matches too.

my best mate works for sky, not on the lorries though

him sending me a picture sat at the dinner table with muse after they played coachella festival in America really helped me on my drive to luton :imp:

this is of no help what so ever.

I know the bbc obu’s where driven by the technicians, they are exempt from e.u. tacho regulations, so I would of thought that its highly unlikely they would employ just drivers, you would need to be a broadcast technician to get a job on there

It’s one of those jobs that looks glamourous but iv seen what these lads do,■■■■■■■ hundreds of yards of cable all over the stadiums then when the event is over dismantling it all again.
Unsocial hours and weekends and iv been told some of them never see the sport live…
It will be more interesting than most jobs but hard work

Aren’t most venues hard wired these days? Just turn up and plug in? Or did I dream it.

Maybe,I’m just going on what iv seen them doing at old rugby league grounds, the new stadiums could well be hard wired…
