Hi everybody

I need a little help on rest periods.

I want to know if you were to take a Mon - Sun week and you worked Mon - Sat day shifts (let’s say 8pm till 4pm each day) and then started work at 5pm on Sunday for the night shift, if this would be legal?

Obviously this would be working 7 days in a row but you’ve had a 24 hour rest period in between the end of Saturday and start of Sunday?

Any help appreciated

Yes that would be legal.

Assuming you work to EU regulations the reduced weekly rest period resets the six 24 hour periods.

NEVER use the word DAY when dealing with the regs because the regs only go on hours

By only using hours you will understand the regs much better
