There the ones I took back , that sole is not solid rubber , make sure you keep receipt as I’m sure it’s a years guarantee , if my experience is anything to go by you’ll need

Your just an unlucky sod
It’s not my first pair , and none have lasted that long ( all wore out on sole ) that’s why I kept the receipt / box , yours maybe fine but I’d still keep box / receipt just in case
But upto you

90% of the time, I’m wearing trainers, I only wear the clown shoes when I get to certain sites that demand I wear clown shoes.
I was exactly the same mate, flips, clacks, trainers, casual.soft shoes was what I always wore in the past,.first 2 on list if I was doing nothing but driving for a couple of days, the others working outside of cab.
Nowadays it’s boots all the way.
Only last year I had an incident where I opened the curtains and a pack of small (but sharp) steel sections fell on the ground and on my foot.
Foot was badly bruised, and it was in a very remote farmyard miles into the outback, and I had visions of worse case scenario,…taking a couple of toes off,.and bleeding out waiting for an ambulance…ooh the drama.
Anyhoo the boot saved the day (and my foot) but this was the result.

A lot of these ott h&s/up their own arses type places don’t allow rigger boots mate …believe it or not.
All these stupid ■■■■ rules keeps some ■■■■ in a (non) job.
Does your firm not supply safety boots btw?
If you are just wearing then for outside, who cares if they just supply cheap basic crap…like my firm.
They just do the same job.
Our lot supply boots like something from 1920s pit workers, that make ■■■■■■■ sounds when you walk.
I have a mate who works for a better firm than I do so he gets me some top notch boots that are stylish and look a bit ‘Timberland’ otherwise I’d just be wearing the crappy company ones.

My Screwfix boots have survived the past 18 months well. The only problem is they’re waterproof but obviously not breathable, so sweaty socks! I have to take them off for every break. I would rather they weren’t waterproof as that’s not an issue for me.
Whatever boots you buy break the bank and buy top quality walking/hiking socks. Nothing from sport’s direct or primark and definitely not football socks. Look for specialist shops and expect to pay over 10 pounds per pair. No blisters and they last forever. I was an instructor in the MET and taught hiking and navigating to schools as part of the safer schools team. Pretty much the best advice I was ever given and the don’t smell because they wick away the sweat.
