As for ‘lace-ups’…
Don’t bother with Caterpillar.
Their quality has ‘slipped’ - not as good as they used to be.
Gone to Dewalt now.

was looking at a pair of v12 s
I’ve had about 3 pairs of v12 riggers up to now, the 3rd pair are about shot and ready for replacement now, I think I will buy the same again as they fit well and don’t flop about on the end of your leg like some of the crap ones I’ve had before, they are also comfy to wear, though I think they should last longer than they do as they cost about £75
in doing the work I do which includes welding/ fabrication and sand blasting your no good mincing around with crappy boots!
Agree with Moose, worked on lowloaders/ plant for many years and worn riggers for more years than i care to remember, V12,s the best iv,e found long lasting, good ankle support and waterproof, worth the extra money.
Guy Martin wears riggers and he’s a legend.
Never even tried a pair on, they look heavy and akward. Are they not then?
I wear a pair Danners I’ve had for ages now there the charlies. Waterproof and gore tex. Light ad a feather too.

Im wearing some Site Gravel riggers from screw fix at the moment. They’ve lasted longer than the JCB, scuffs, dewalts and V12’s I’ve had previously.
The only last me a year at most usually though as they do take some punishment.Only £20 too!
I’ve got the same boors from the same place…can’t fault them!
been buying Groundworks boots from the factory shop for years, around £20 a pair, and last for ages, even on rough work like farm collections.
keep a pair of lace up boots in your locker or you wont get into any of the company sites I work for.

dewalt bolsters, screw fix £40 lightweight warm and waterproof on my second pair now, had the first for 6 months on multidrop only changed them coz my feet stink, still got another 12 months in them at least
But there not riggers
What do you want riggers for? Only thick [zb] drivers wear riggers (usually twinned with a baseball cap) - that’s how you can spot them.
There’s only one thick driver on this thread who can’t seem to read a post! the lad asked about RIGGER BOOTS duh! I am on log haulage out of the forests and wear riggers in winter, the gay boy boots you recommended wouldn’t last 2 minuts
Down boy!
Amblers brown Chelsea safety boots. Bit expensive but stand the test of time.
