Woolwich ferry?

Never was used??How quickly from A to Z.Or much quickly drive around to Dartford?

you only do 9/10 hrs a day so why are you bothered how quickly the Woolworth fairy crosses the Thames  mmmmmm I smell a rat

Depends which A to Z you are going to but yes coming down the M11 and onto the Woolwich Ferry is generally quicker than going anywhere near Dartford only rule is no hazardous I believe

no yesterdy 14h57min.

Don’t forget the duty-frees. :stuck_out_tongue:

its a bugger to reverse onto.

Get there early and ask for a single cabin.

Southbound it is quicker through Blackwall and it’s higher

No, there are often long waits for the ferry and the South Circular isn’t a great road. I’d only use it if I was going to the immediate area south of the ferry (e.g. Woolwich, Charlton) and other routes were closed or badly delayed (in which case, so would the Woolwich Ferry be). Delays over the Dartford bridge are much less common than going northbound through the tunnel because they don’t shut the bridge regularly to ■■■■■■ tankers though.

Have not used it in many years obviously but I always found it either very quick or it would take hours of waiting in line, it does only take 5 minutes to cross once you are on it.

Soon to be new ferries operating there, wont be any quicker and only being replaced as the old ones are clapped out …

I can’t remember, is the height restriction on the ferry itself or is it where the “terminal” area is on land? Ie if there are new ferries I wonder if they will spec them so higher vehicles can use it

Think it’s the cages around the bridge/ramp.

Every time…

I’ve used it, without fail it’s taken forever to get on the ■■■■ thing from either side.

New boats/ships/vessels/ferries what ever the technical term is link below. There is still NO duty free lounge.

I’m sure I read somewhere that the Woolwich Ferry is going to be closed completely for three months at the end of this year because they have to put new linkspans in for the new boats or something.

Last time I used it, it was free.Still?
Question is,who runs it?And how`s it funded?
