They usually go from Dukinfield onto M67 towards Glossop down past the gun inn through Tintwhistle and over Woodhead finnishing at Ernest Thorpes trailer yard Deepcar.

I would think they are looking upto the 70s early 80s.(not to sure)

The more the merrier Stew.I myself go to the industrial estate at Dukinfield and get photos other lads follow them over woodhead and get photos along the route.Always plenty of cameras about.

Great thank you John, sorry for all the questions, where abouts exactly on the industrial estate does this take place? Is it someone’s premises or just the actual roadside please? And at what time does it commence?

More time and room (in my opinion only!) to look around the motors when they are at the end in Deepcar – plenty of good spots on the route for pictures too

If you know what used to be the Globe Pub its now a cafe (I Think) on Globe, lane as you approach it facing you at the mini roundabout do a left go aprox 100 yards and 1st turning on your right its down the road on your right cannot miss it.I get there around 8.30am last year they set off around 11am.But if you go onto this link John Murphy one of the organnisers updates everyone with times etc.

Dont forget lads this is on this coming weekend Sunday 25th Sept.Last time I took a look at John Murphy’s Flickr site there was around 50 lorries taking to the road over Woodhead.
