winsford

Good evening all

Dose any one know of any safe places around winsford to park? I’m delivering there tomorrow morning

Thanks Scott

HI…alot of lads use the road down by the tankwash in Middlewich…you will pass it if coming to Winsford off junct 18 m6…handy pub on the corner for something to eat…anywhere else be carefull there is a large ■■■■■ population in the area always looking for diesel…cheers

i have parked on the industrial estate in Winsford before with no problems

point 18 area first left after shell garage going into middlewhich, or like has been posted the road going up to tankwash, a very quiet place i use is turning left at the lights at middlewhich, drive up that road for about 0.5 of a mile you will go past a chippy on your right, next left over the small humpback bridge over canal, past armatige shanks and anywhere up there mate, very quiet ■■■■■■ dont go there and the chippy does good chow mein!

Remember if you do park on the industrial estate you must dig a hole some distance away from the truck and bury all your valuables, if you survive the night don’t forget to retrieve them in the morning. Next surround the truck with land-mines, barbed wire, an invisible force field and an early warning RADAR system. Lock all your doors and windows, ratchet strapping the shut doors with as many straps as possible and use sealant to glue the windows closed. Ensure you are armed with, at a minimum, a baseball bat (ball optional), a knife, a Maglite®, pepper spray, a fire extinguisher and a sandwich (preferably toasted).

Good luck, I hope you make it.

If you’re coming from the north come off at J19. Through 2 sets of lights then take the right fork A559 Northwich. Get in the left hand lane and turn left at the lights 150 yards. Pub with cheap, good grub and ale. Wifi too

You joke but…

Or park somewhere else!

You could always park up near Morrisons too

Should be plenty of room on the main Industrial Estate, although try and use the side roads as the fuzz take a dislike to HGV parking on road one after a fatility involving a parked trailer. Other than that Nat Lane down past Morrisons/McDognalds.

The road by the tankwash is ok, and the pubs reasonable, on a nice day it is worth walking back over the canal and sit on the bank. There are no toilets, so drivers have just been ■■■■■■■■ on the road, but the council are on it and they will bung your arse up with wood shavings if they catch you.

Middlewich is good for food and has an eclectic mix of restaurants and takeaways.

when im in at wincanton for lucozade i usually just park on the road up from it, if you come off m6 at jct 18 into the first roundabout turn left and follow it down past old tesco/stobart place and just park there. must add there are double yellows but many park there and ive never had any problems overnight.

Road 4 (I think) on the industrial estate is ok, never had a problem there.

ah yes that’s when he did that night out. I knew he’d done one

As said above , Ive used the Ind Est by Morrissons many a time wthout having to deploy any sandwich ninja moves

And Rob , a " night out " in this context means sleeping overnight in a cab , not going to the pub then home to bed . HTH :stuck_out_tongue: :stuck_out_tongue:

Almost did as we had to make a diversion off the M6 last night because it was closed between J18 and J16, but we went east instead of west.
