Looking for a decent phone holder for the windscreen that doesn’t make the phone bounce all over the place when moving. It also has to be used in my Xsara VTS road rally car when I’m competing, to hold the phone which is used as a stopwatch/timer, so it needs to be substantial.
Don’t think any of those long goose neck types will work, as they are too flexible.
Anyone got any pics or links for ones that they use?
Ken.

that’s what i use, very rarely falls off! it’s stuck to the side window of a tractor so gets a fair amount of bouncing about, i’d buy the same again.
IMO the best mount on the market is a Brodit mount brodit.com/brodit.html?pn=home
You can tailor them to fit the specific model of your car/truck, whether you fit them to the vents or panel mouldings with their pro-clip system
I use Blue Tac to fix my phone to the dash. It’s low down so that my fingers can’t be seen on it
but near enough to see it.
Never falls off.
I got mine from Halfords, not had a problem with it
I had to get a bigger one as since I upgraded from an HTC to a Samsung Galaxy S3 it wouldnt fit and nor would the charger

other colours of tack are available
I use a piece of glass from a welding mask velcroed to the dash, then stick my mount to that. When I was in the Scania, I put it over the compressed air outlet on the facia to mount my Tomtom. I got the velcro from a haberdasher on the market it’s about 2" wide so two strips cover the back. Now I’m back in the volvo I put it on top of the dash, it’s never let go yet, plus it’s well withing easy reach.
