Will it be gridlock at the ports tomorrow?

Will this create a gridlock situation or not ? Itv’s media will be there at dover tomorrow morning from 6am

Not for the season traveller.
It’ll soon be like going from Canada to the USA . when the truck is booked the drivers details etc will be passed a the time of booking and any passenger’s on that vehicle will have to be on the manifest.

I think the article is aimed at coaches and vehicles with multi occupancies.

I’m well aware that if you are travelling on the train as frieght that your details are already passed to eurotunnel prior to you arriving , but this http://www.eurotunnelfreight.com/freight-bulletin-2015-7/ would suggest they are still going to want to see your passport/id card

The ports have always wanted your passport/photocard DL at check in,

Can’t see that it’ll take any longer really

As it’s currently taking them 20-40 minutes to check each coach it will mean delays at peak times. Good job the didn’t bring them in a couple of weeks ago, 400+ coaches went out each Friday and Saturday with the Easter getaways to Spain or skiing.

And no doubt will take longer when something goes ■■■■ up with the ferries or the train like leaves on the track

Came through Dover today no problems at all heading out just the usual go slow clerks at P & O if they are paid by the number of trucks they book on per hour then I’m guessing most of them go hungry

They are doing passport checks at the tunnel it takes about 30 seconds they are using the cabin where English police sit
